Four players saw a flop following a raise to 6,500, a call from the button and the blinds. Everyone checked it down to the river. No one wanted the board. Jacouse Torbey was to the left of the button so had to show first. He turned over and each of the other players nodded and folded in turn. Torbey threw up his hands at the victory. “It’s a miracle, look what I’ve won.” He was a happy man.
Elias Abou Saleh opened to 7,000 preflop before Sergey Rybachenko made it 15,500 in the seat next to him. Saleh then four-bet to 31,000 and Rybachenko opted to flat-call to see the flop. Saleh immediately moved all in for 55,500 and the Russian tanked for about four minutes before he finally decided to fold.
Max Droege was the only caller in the big blind as Boris Yanpolskiy opened under the gun. They saw a flop of Droege led for 15,000 and Yanpolskiy called. They both checked the turn of and the river . It was on Deroege to show his cards first as he was sat to the left of the button but he chose to muck. There was a brief discussion on whether either of them had to show and it was clarified the pot was Yanpolskiy’s whether he showed or not. He showed the anyway.
On a , Elias Abou Saleh bet 33,000 with about 100,000 remaining only for Natalya Nikitina to check-raise all in. Saleh snap-called like a rattlesnake after its prey.
Saleh:
Nikitina:
The gave Nikitina a couple more outs and the river duly delivered. A disgusted Saleh ripped off his headphones and went straight for the exit.
Jacoues Torbey and Boris Yanpolskiy already had chips in the pot when Andrey Kazankov moved all in for 52,500. Torbey thougth for a long time before folding. Yanpolskiy asked “How much?” before making the call and tabling against Kazankov’s . “Bad mistake” said Torbey. “I folded that.” The cards came out and Kazankov more than doubled up.
Rushing over to table 1, we found Koray Aldemir glumly leaving as Asaf Avci was raking in another big pot with on a board. Manig Loeser told us that Aldemir had been holding and that Avci had "check-called the flop before open shoving the turn for like ten times the pot...It was pretty sick."
Christoffer Stahle just knocked the short stack Nuri Kural. The latter shoved from late position for his last 36,000 with but Stahle picked up in the small blind and held on a board.
