First Player Out

A player was eliminated after about ten minutes of play when he pushed on the turn with 5-5 against 7-8 on a board of 5-6-Q-9. The nut straight held when the river didn't pair the board and the player with the fives was sent packing. It's hard to know if a bit more aggressive betting could have chased out the open ended straight draw and kept this poor player around longer than a couple hands.

Kido Pham Sits Down at Robert Williamson III's Table

A miniature Table of Doom is forming at table 20. Kido Pham arrived late and sat in the 9 spot, just to the right of Robert Williamson III in the 1 spot, with the dealer holding them off in between like a boxing referee. This ought to be interesting.

Plus, Phil Gordon is one table away.

Robert Williamson III Takes a Nice Pot

Robert Williamson III saw a flop with two other players, which was {8-Clubs}

. Robert checks, the 2nd guy checks and the third guy bets 500. Both players call. The turn is the {7-Diamonds}

and all three check. The river is the {2-Clubs}

and Robert fires out 700. The other players fold and Robert takes a nice one. He is up to 24,000 in chips, more than twice the starting stack of 10,000.
