Moneymaker Shaken

Chris Moneymaker raises to 5,000 on the button and Matt Brady goes all in for 18,775. Another player calls for the same amount. Moneymaker tanks and makes the 3-1 odds call. Brady has {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}, Moneymaker has {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and the third player has {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. The board is 3-5-5-3-2 and Brady takes it all. Moneymaker is still in, however.

Four Big Bustouts

Mike Beasley is out in a hand involving K-K and 4-4. Fred Goldberg is also out.

At another table, Player 1 bets 1500. Player 2 shoves for 5600. Larry Vance calls for exactly 5600 and is also all in. The first player is priced in and calls. Player 1 has {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, Player 2 has {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and Vance has {A-Spades}{J-Spades}. The board is {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and Larry Vance is eliminated.

Across the room, Zachary King raises to 2500 in the small blind. Chris Moneymaker raises all in to 17,500 in the big blind. King calls and turns kings. Moneymaker turns A-10 offsuit. The board is 4-2-6-2-3 and Moneymaker is gone.

How Goldberg Busted

Fred Goldberg stopped by and related his bustout.

The board was A-A-8 with two spades. Goldberg with {K-Spades}{9-Spades} bet 2,500 and is called. The turn was a spade, giving him the flush, and he fired out 4,000. His opponent, who Goldberg said was his nemesis all day long, called. The river was the 2 and Goldberg fired another 8,000. His opponent called and turned over A-2 for the boat. See ya at the series, Goldberg.

Dennis Anness Decimated

Matt Russell bets 2,500 preflop and Dennis Anness shoves for 26,000. Russell calls for his last 11,300 and turns over {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}. Anness has {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and the board is 7-4-5-7-2. Anness is reduced to about a tenth of his original size. He goes out a short time later when his tens run into Captain Tom's kings.
