Bob Slezak Eliminated

Bob Slezak Eliminated
Bob Slezak Eliminated
Bob Slezak and Mark Eddleman went heads up to a flop of {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Slezak moved all in and Eddleman made the call. The players showed:

Slezak: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Eddleman: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Slezak failed to improve and headed to the rail just minutes into Day 2.

Greg Monaldi Eliminated

Greg Monaldi raised to 4,000 from early position and the action folded around to Robert Wisiak. Wisiak, who had Monaldi covered, moved all in. Monaldi insta-called and the players showed:

Monaldi: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Wisiak: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {9-Spades} high and Monaldi was eliminated.

Clint Lilienthal Eliminated

Tony Merksick limped in under the gun. Clint Lilienthal, who was next to act, raised to 3,000. Action folded over to Robert Wisiak who thought for a bit before re-raising to 10,000. Merksick folded and Lilienthal, who didn't have much more, pushed his entire stack across the felt. Wisiak called the slight re-raise and it was heads up. The players showed:

Lilienthal: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Wisiak: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Lilienthal knew he was in a great spot to pick up some much needed chips. His mood quickly changed however when the flop came down {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Things went from bad to worse for Lilienthal when the {9-Clubs} came off on the turn. Lilienthal could do nothing but shrug as he headed towards the exit. Wisiak stacked the pot and seems to be on a hot streak early in Day 2.

Keith Murrell Takes a Big Pot

After a raise preflop, Keith Murrell, Bernard Lee, and Tony Merksick saw a flop of {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Lee bet 6,700 from late position and Merksick folded from the cutoff. Murrell quickly raised to 15,000. Lee didn't take long to call. The turn brought the {7-Clubs}. Lee bet 7,000 and Murrell moved all in. Murrell had Lee covered so the call was for his tournament life. Lee thought for about four minutes before finally folding {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} face up.
