Welcome back to Caesars Atlantic City for Day 2 of the World Series of Poker Main Event. Day 1 saw 208 runners give it go, with only 52 players moving on to today. Some of the more big name exits included Bernard Lee, Roy Winston, Matt "All in at 420" Stout, and Nick Frangos. Two of the members from last year's coveted November Nine, Ylon Schwartz and Dennis Phillips, were also in the mix, but both failed to move on as well.
The chip leader entering today is young Chris Klodnicki. Klodnicki maintained a rather average chip stack for most of the day, but then stormed to the top of the leader in the last few levels to finish the day as the only player above 200,000. He comes into today with a sizable chip lead and 218,000 chips total. Bill Gazes, Mike "GoLeafsGoEh" Leah, and Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy still remain in the field, but all are clustered in the bottom part of the pack.
We're set to kick things off at 12:00 noon EST with level twelve. The money bubble isn't too far away, set at 27 players, and the plan is to play down until the final table before we finish out the day. Hopefully, luck will be on the players' side despite it being Friday the 13th.
Live updates coming shortly when pay kicks off, be sure to stick around!
There was a bit of confusion about the start time today apparently, as there are still several empty seats. Regardless, more than 75% of the field is in the room, so play will begin as scheduled.
Just about 15 minutes later than anticipated, the cards are in the air. Shuffle up and deal!

Fishberg tabled for the winning hand with jacks over nines.
Richard Cohen fired a bet of 12,000 on a board of with two players still to act. Jason Young was the first of those players and took his time counting some chips out before making a raise to 30,000. Casey 'bigdogpckt5s' Jarzabek folded last to act and then action was back on Cohen. It took little time for him to fold.
Young re-checked his hole cards and revealed only the before raking in the pot.
The details of the hand are unclear, but Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy has just taken the walk towards the exit. Bax began play right near the bottom of the board today, and he couldn't find the early double up he was looking for.
We've just learned the details of Cliff Josephy's bust-out hand. He had just about 16,000 chips to start the hand, and looking down at , JohnnyBax pushed them all in. Further down the line, Anthony Newman looked him up, making the call to put Josephy at risk. When the rest of the table folded, Newman tabled , and the race was on.
JohnnyBax's horse came out of the gate strong, holding his lead on the flop of . The turn was a devastating though, and the that rounded out the board spelled a quick end to the day for the online pro.
Jeffrey Izes announced a raise in preflop action, but put in what was determined to be a string raise. He was then obligated to raise the minimum amount to 4,800. Anthony Newman called in the cutoff seat and Samuel Chartier called out of the big blind.
The flop came down and all three players checked. After the turn fell the , Chartier led for 10,000. Izes folded, but Newman called.
The river brought the and both Chartier and Newman checked. Chartier showed for a pair of tens and was good enough to scoop the pot.
