Kathy Liebert Eliminated in 19th Place

Kathy Liebert - 19th Place
Kathy Liebert - 19th Place
In a recent hand, David Dao moved all in, and Kathy Liebert had the decision. She held {A-?} {10-?} and pondered for a while before calling, putting Dao at risk. Luckily for him, he held {A-?} {A-?}. The board ran safe, Dao doubled up, and Liebert was left crippled.

A few hands later, Liebert was in the big blind, having to post 4,000. The problem was that she had just 9,000 chips to her name. When Frank Wyville opened the pot for a raise to 15,000 from late position, Liebert pondered her decision. She had little choice, and the remaining 5,000 of her chips went into middle.

Showdown:
Wyville: {Q-Hearts} {J-Hearts}
Liebert: {J-Spades} {3-Hearts}

No love for Liebert. The board ran out {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {5-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {3-Clubs}. She is out of chips, and she is headed for the exit in 19th place. She will fail to make the money unless another player is eliminated this orbit.

Va Shon Watkins Eliminated in 18th Place (Will Split $11,039 with Kathy Liebert)

Va Shon Watkins - 18th Place (T)
Va Shon Watkins - 18th Place (T)
According to Va Shon Watkins, during round for round, he shoved all in for 39,000 with {J-?} {9-?} suited and was called by a player with {7-?} {3-?}. The flop came with a seven and Watkins was unable to catch a jack or nine on either the turn or river.

As a result, Va Shon Watkins will split 18th place prize money with Kathy Liebert. Both players will receive $5519.50 for their strong finish.

Redraw!

With the bustouts of Kathy Liebert and Va Shon Watkins, we are now down to 17 players. Our final two tables have been redrawn.

No Hyde-ing from Stout

Matt Stout opened the pot with a raise to 11,000. Action passed around the blinds, where Gavin Smith looked down at {K-?} {Q-?}. He made the call, and the decision was on the short-stacked Glenn Hyde. He had 53,500 chips left, and he moved them all in. Stout asked for a count and then quickly made the call. Smith opted to duck out, leaving the two heads up.

Showdown:
Stout: {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}
Hyde: {A-Clubs} {J-Hearts}

Hyde was in awful shape to stay alive, but the board smiled on him as it came down {Q-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {9-Clubs}. He didn't win all of the pot, but half of it was certainly good enough for Hyde, as he even increases his stack by a few thousand chips.

Jeff Morrill Eliminated in 15th Place ($12,510), Mark Burrier Eliminated in 14th Place ($12,510)

Mark Burrier - 14th Place
Mark Burrier - 14th Place
Before the flop, Jeff Morrill moved all in for just 5,000 holding {Q-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}. Both David Dao and Mark Burrier made the call.

The flop brought {7-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {8-Spades}. Mark Burrier moved all in, and Dao made the call, putting two men on the brink of elimination.

Showdown:
Morrill: {Q-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}
Dao: {8-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}
Burrier: {A-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}

Everyone had a piece of it, but Dao was in the lead. The turn and river came {7-Spades} and {2-Hearts} respectively, failing to improve either all-in player. With that, David Dao kills two birds with one stone, chipping his way back up close to the 200,000 chip mark.

Jeremiah Vinsant Eliminated in 13th Place ($12,510)

Jeremiah Vinsant - 13th Place
Jeremiah Vinsant - 13th Place
Matt Stout just took a dominating chip lead after a big hand against Jeremiah Vinsant. Preflop, Stout raised to 12,000 and Vinsant raised 23,000 more. Stout then reraised to make it 90,000 total. Vinsant thought for a bit and then announced all in. Stout insta-called.

Stout: {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}
Vinsant: {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}

Stout held a dominating lead and never relinquished it as the board fell {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {8-Spades}.

Stout had Vinsant covered and Vinsant shook Stout's hand as he headed off. Jeremiah Vinsant will take home $12,510 for his strong finish.

The dealer was going to push Vinsant's former stack over to Stout, but Gavin Smith jumped up and knocked the chips over. The table erupted in laughter as Stout said, "That's how Gavin shows his jealousy."

Everyone should have plenty of reason to be jealous as Stout now sits around 1 Million in chips.

Leah Bounces Back

Mike "GoLeafsGoEh" Leah opened the pot with a minimum raise from under the gun, making it 12,000 to go. Both David Dao and Frank Wyville came along to the flop.

Three handed then, the flop showed up {K-Spades} {K-Clubs} {3-Spades}. All three men checked.

Fourth street came the {7-Clubs}. Leah checked again, while Dao asked the dealer what the blinds are.

"Three and six," replied the dealer.

"Okay, I bet six," said Dao, slipping out an orange and a gray chip.

Wyville opted to raise it up, making it 26,000 to skate. Leah quickly over-called from early position, and Dao put in the extra 20,000 as well.

With all three men still in it, the dealer put the last card on the board: {2-Diamonds}. Leah and Dao checked to Wyville, and he kept the heat on with 50,000 chips. With absolutely no delay, Leah quickly and confidently stacked his own matching 50,000 on the table. Dao released.

"Nice call," said Wyville, tapping the felt. Leah waited though, until Wyville opened up his {A-Spades} {9-Spades}. Leah tabled {K-Hearts} {10-Hearts}, plenty good to win him that sizable pot. With that, he has climbed his way back up just over 200,000.
