We were looking through the seating list and noticed that Ivey, Brunson, and Cunningham are all in today's field. Unfortunately, it is not Phil, Doyle, and Allen; instead, it is three men by the name of Jonithan Ivey, Jerry Brunson, and Cody Cunningham. One thing is for sure, those guys are going to have a hard time making a name for themselves.
From middle position, Kevin Calenzo opened with a raise to 800. He was called by the players in the hijack, small blind, and big blind.
The flop came down and action was checked to Calenzo. He bet 1,150, receiving a call from only the player in the hijack. The turn was checked by both and when the hit the river, Calenzo checked. His oppoonent bet 2,200 and Calenzo mulled it over for a few moments before opting to call.
After first being reluctant to show, his opponent turned over for a missed straight draw, while Calenzo tabled for second pair to win the pot.
Mark "Pegasus" Smith limped from early position as did a player from middle position. The blinds came along for the ride and four players watched the flop come down . After the small blind checked, the big blind threw out a bet of 500. Smith and the middle position player called and the was put out on the turn. This time the big blind checked, as did Smith, and the middle position player bet 1,000. It was enough to take down the pot as both his opponents folded. Smith is down to 17,000.
La Sengphet was down to about 10,000 in the early going, but has righted the ship and is up to about 23,000. Most recently with , she busted an opponent who held after the final board read .
