Aguiar Moving Back Up

A woman opened with a raise from early position and Jonathan Aguiar flat-called on the button. The player in the small blind reraised all in for 6,000. Action then folded back to Aguiar and he quickly made the call, tabling the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}. The small blind held a dominated {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

The board ran through {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Aguiar won the pot. He eliminated the small blind on the hand and sent his stack to 39,500.

Brady Runs Into Full House

With 10,300 chips already in the middle, Matt Brady was faced with a bet of 8,000 from his opponent. The board read {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} with action on Brady as he tanked. Brady eventually tossed in the chips to make the call, but he watched his opponent table the {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a full house and mucked his hand. Brady slipped back to 31,000 in chips after losing this pot.

Stocz With a Lion's Stack

Eric Stocz
Eric Stocz

We missed the hefty preflop action that led them to this point, but we walked up to the table to see about 11,000 chips already in the pot as the dealer rolled out a {7-Spades} {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} flop. Heads up, Eric Stocz checked and Jason Mercier made a small bet of 3,800. Stocz instantly check-raised to 11,000 straight, and Mercier sat statue-still for just a minute or so. Stocz saw him flinch and asked, "Did you fold?" and Mercier promptly said, "I'm all in."

Stocz instantly called all in for his last 27,000 total, and the cards were on their backs. Stocz showed his {A-Hearts} {2-Clubs} first, and a frustrated Mercier flung his inferior {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} high into the air and onto the felt in front of him.

The turn {9-Spades} and river {Q-Spades} could not two-outer Stocz out the door, and he's found himself a quick after-dinner double. That big pot moves him all the way up to about 65,000, while Mercier has slipped back to 57,000.

Moore Out

Charles "Woody" Moore has been eliminated. Moore has final tabled both WSOP Circuit events this season and won the last one in Southern Indiana, but won't be making it to a third final table in a row this time.

Some "Set-Up" Hand for Richey

Brett Richey
Brett Richey

On the turn, there was a nice pot of around 15,000 in the middle between one player and Brett RIchey. The board read {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Richey fired out 7,700. His opponent tanked for a minute or so and then said, "You guys didn't set this up, right? 'Cause I'd be pretty pissed." The player then thought a minute more before raising to 17,000. Richey moved all in for 29,700 and his opponent called after asking how much more the all-in raise was for.

Richey tabled the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for an ace-high heart flush and his opponent showed the {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, drawing dead with just a pair of jacks. The river completed the board with the {Q-Diamonds} and Richey was able to double up. He now has just about 80,000 in chips and a Corona in front of him, that's the Brett Richey we know.

Go, Leah, Go

Mike Leah
Mike Leah

Mike "GoLeafsGoEh" Leah, one of our favorite Circuit regulars, has just been relieved of the rest of his short stack. It was {Q-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} that took his remainder, Leah's rags running into the {5-} {5-} of David Kominski.

There was a sweat by the time the turn card rolled around, but the {8-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} board was ultimately no help to Leah. He's out, but we'll likely see him back here in a couple days for the $10,000 Regional Championship event.
