Raghavan Gets Crawford

Claudia Crawford
Claudia Crawford

Claudia Crawford opened with a raise before Ravi Raghavan three-bet to 21,000 total. Crawford promptly reraised to 71,000, drawing an all in five-bet from her opponent. Crawford had most of her chips in the pot already, and she called to put herself at risk.

Showdown
Crawford: {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs}
Raghavan: {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}

There was nothing useful for the lady on a board of {A-Spades} {9-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {8-Spades}, and her day is done.

Raghavan, on the other hand, is well in contention now with about 330,000 in front of him.

Reynolds Takes Lead After Beating Jivkov Twice

William Reynolds
William Reynolds

Nick Jivkov and William Reynolds just played two sizable pots together that has seen Reynolds take over as the chip leader in the tournament with 100 players left.

On the first hand, we picked up the action on the turn with the board reading {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. There was already about 55,000 in the middle and Jivkov was out of position to Reynolds. After Jivkov checked, Reynolds fired 26,500. Jivkov thought for a few moments and then made the call. The river card completed the board with the {7-Clubs} and Jivkov checked again. Reynolds fired out a big bet of 115,000. Jivkov tanked for a bit, but folded his hand and Reynolds scooped the pot. This put Reynolds up to about 650,000 while Jivkov dropped back to 475,000.

On the very next hand, Jivkov raised to 12,000 preflop. Reynolds made the call and had position on Jivkov once again as the two saw the flop come down {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Jivkov bet out 18,000 and Reynolds called.

The turn card was the {9-Spades} and Jivkov checked. Reynolds slid out 25,500, which Jivkov called to see the {9-Diamonds} pair the board on the river. Jivkov checked and Reynolds checked behind. Jivkov's {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} was no good to Reynolds' {J-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Reynolds won the pot to move over 700,000 in chips.

Richey Flops Another Flush and Doubles

Brett Richey
Brett Richey

Sameer Aldbhany raised to 11,000 from the cutoff seat. He was called by Dennis Lockrey in the small blind and Brett Richey in the big blind. The three players saw the flop come down {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and everyone checked.

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and everyone checked again. The river then completed the board with the {3-Spades} and Lockrey checked before Richey moved all in for 36,000. Aldbhany made the call and Lockrey folded.

Richey tabled the {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a flopped flush, the second time he's done so in two days that we've seen and doubled up. Aldbhany showed the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

Dudani, Where's My Chips?

We missed half of the preflop action, but we believe we can infer the rest. From what we gather, it looks like David Peters opened with an under-the-gun raise, and Nick Jivkov made the call next door. Around the table on the button, Shiva Dudani moved all in for an additional 90,500, sending the action back to Peters. After a moment of thought, he re-shoved all in, folding Jivkov and getting him heads up with a shot at the knockout.

Showdown
Peters: {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs}
Dudani: {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}

The flop was a swing and a miss for Dudani as it came out {5-Hearts} {2-Spades} {K-Hearts}. The turn {Q-Clubs}, however, was just what he was looking for, and the river {6-Clubs} secured his double up. He's back over 200,000 now, dropping Peters down to 115,000 in the process.

Sluzinski Doubles Through Bari

Jeff Sluzinski raised to 12,500 before Allen Bari reraised all in from the big blind. Sluzinski didn't realize Bari had announced all in and sat for a minute or so not knowing the action was on him. Eventually, the dealer told Sluzinski it was back on him and then he took another 30 seconds before calling all in.

Sluzinski held the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} to Bari's {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}. The board ran out {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Sluzinski doubled up. He was all in for 92,500.

Nauert Bubbles the Bubble

Gene Nauert
Gene Nauert

Gene Nauert called all in for 9,500 after Peter Nemeth raised to 11,500 from under the gun. Everyone else folded and these two were left for the all-in situation.

Nauert: {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Nemeth: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{K-Spades} and Nauert was the bubble of the bubble, or the 92nd-place finisher.

All Hail Julius, WSOP-C Hammond Bubble Boy

Kyle Julius
Kyle Julius

Richard Rockwood raised from under the gun to 10,000. Ryan Julius reraised all in for roughly 60,000 from the hijack seat. After action moved its way back around the table to Rockwood, he got an approximate count and then made the call. The cards weren't turned over right away as the tournament was in hand-for-hand play and needed to wait for the other tables to finish up action first. This took several minutes as there was a hand playing out a few tables over involving Allen Bari and Anthony Roviso...

On the board of {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}, Bari was tanking for several minutes after Roviso shoved all in for 104,000. Bari tanked and tank while Julius had to wait his fate 20 feet away. Eventually, Bari mucked his hand and eyes moved back over to the all-in showdown between Rockwood and the at-risk Julius.

Julius tabled the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} against the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} for Rockwood and was racing for his tournament life. The flop of {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} was clean, but the {K-Diamonds} on the turn gave Rockwood the lead in the hand. After the {6-Spades} paired the board on the river, it was all said and done. Julius hit the rail in 91st place and finished as the official bubble boy to the WSOP Circuit Hammond Main Event.
