Shuffle Up and Deal!

Players are in their seats and the cards are in the air. The plan today is to play to a final table or until around midnight, whichever comes first. With 60 players remaining, we're looking to lose 51 of them before day's end.

Stukes Doubles Through Walker

Over at Table 123, Roston Stukes was short-stacked and moved all in for his last 30,000 from middle position. The next player to act, James Walker, made the call and the rest of the players got out of the way.

Stukes: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Walker: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Stukes was in great shape to double as the flop came down {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{J-Hearts}. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn kept Stukes in the lead and asking for the dealer to pair the board. Indeed, the dealer put up the {3-Clubs} and Stukes doubled to around 65,000.

Hazer Hazed

Doug Hazer was nursing a short stack and found himself all in with {A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} against the {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} of Mike Wommack. Hazer needed an ace and the {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop did not deliver. The {6-Clubs} changed nothing and it was down to the river for Hazer. When the {7-Spades} hit, Hazer's day came to an end. Meanwhile, Wommack increased his stack to 110,000.

Wilson's Fours Can't Get It Done

Action folded to Libby Wilson in the hijack and she moved all in for her last 8,200. Russell Boyker called from the big blind and they turned up their cards:

Boyker: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Wilson: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Wilson was in big trouble and couldn't connect on the {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{J-Spades} flop. The dealer burned and turned the {10-Spades}, which meant Wilson needed to catch a four on the river to survive. It was not meant to be as the {5-Clubs} appeared. Wilson was eliminated from the tournament while Boyker is up to 73,000.
