Vedes In The House

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Registration closes at the end of Level 2 and a few players are still lined up at the cashier waiting to register. Among them is recent circuit regular Tommy Vedes, having made stops in the last month at WSOP-C Choctaw and WSOP-C Tunica.

Cowboy Down

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

On a {K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} board, "Cowboy" John Land was facing a bet of 6,000 before shoving for the rest of his stack, about 14,000. A call from his opponent revealed {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}, having Land's {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} in awful shape. The river was the {4-Clubs} and just like that, Land's tournament is over just before the end of Level 2.

Two More Tables

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

The vacant tables in the final table area have been sitting dormant since the $1,000 side event finished up earlier in the day.

They're back in action now, however, as another two tables full of players have registered late for this event. We should be getting dangerously close to 700 runners now as the registration window closes momentarily.

We'll have the numbers for you as soon as we can.

Suied Set Back a Bit

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Danny Suied was involved in a multiway pot on a {K-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} flop, and the action checked to the preflop raiser. The gentleman in position said something about "Michael Jordan", then stuck out a bet of 2,300. Suied was the only caller to the turn, and the dealer dropped the {8-Spades} down onto fourth street. Suied checked again.

"Same bet," his opponent said, sliding out another 2,300. The call came from Suied again, and the river {10-Spades} filled out the board. He checked again, and this time his opponent checked it back. "Just in case you have the jack-nine of spades," he said, turning up {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}. A look of bemusement and shock came across Suied's face very briefly, and he quietly double-checked his cards and returned them to the muck. He's back down to his starting stack with about 19,700 chips now.

Two-Four-Four?

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

We have a tentative number.

Registration is closed, but the staff is spending a few minutes triple-checking the paperworks before they give us an official tally. What we can tell you is that, unofficially, 244 players have taken part in this 1b flight, brining the total up to a very impressive 712.

We'll have the official numbers for you soon.
