The Prettiest Hand We've Seen All Day

After hours and hours of covering almost exclusively dudes at every circuit stop, it's refreshing to find a couple pretty women in the field. We got even luckier when we found La Sengphet and Christine Brewer locked up in hand.

We caught up with the action on the turn with the board showing {4-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {7-Clubs}. Sengphet checked from the big blind, Brewer bet 1,200 and Sengphet check-raised to 2,800. Brewer took just a few seconds before putting in a large raise to 8,000 straight.

Sengphet was visibly unhappy with the hand following the raise and tanked for a few moments. She tossed her cards away and Brewer took the pot.

Clinkscales Can't Call

We caught up to the action to see the board reading {5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{A-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Spades} and around 2,600 in the pot. Rex Clinksclales riffled through his chips before tossing out a bet of 2,350.

His opponent sat thinking for a moment before asking Clinkscales how much he had behind. His opponent then flicked out a grey T5,000 chip and an orange T1,000 chip, making it 6,000 to go. Clinkscales thought for about a minute before sending his cards sailing toward the muck.

Aces For Bergeron

Ari Engel opened the action by raising to 300. The player on the button pushed out a re-raise, making it 775. The small blind got out of the way and Craig Bergeron counted out a four-bet, raising the action to 2,400. Engel got out of the way and the player on the button quickly dropped out another raise, making it 5,250. Bergeron wasted no time pushing his entire stack forward and his opponent did so as well.

Bergeron: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Opponent: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Bergeron was able to send his opponent packing.

Sengphet Makes Correct Call

With the board reading {9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, Kenny Milam pushed out a bet of 1,100 into a pot of about 2,100. La Sengphet pondered a call for about a minute before tossing it in. Milam shrugged his shoulders and Sengphet turned up her {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Milam mucked his hand and she was able to scoop the pot.

Bergeron Owning Souls

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

We saw piles of chips being pushed in the middle from across the room and we ran over to find Craig Bergeron in a hand with an unknown player. The board showed {4-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} and we think Bergeron bet in the neighborhood of 3,600.

There was over 9,000 in the pot before the bet and we saw his opponent toss in a sloppy call. The dealer peeled off the {Q-Clubs} on the river. Bergeron sat motionless for a good bit before putting the majority of his large denomination chips - around 26,000 or so. His opponent folded and Bergeron cracked a sly smile and flashed his cards to a friend at another table.

"One time for the folks at home?" we asked. He grabbed our notepad and wrote down he held {6-} {5-}.
