An Orbit with Matt Chang

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Tournament poker can be a mind-numbing grind and players struggle to keep interest in the game. We like to offer an inside look on how boring playing a tournament can be. We followed Matt "Watdahell" Chang for an orbit.

Hand 1 - From the cutoff Chang folded preflop after Amanda Musumeci opened for 2,200. He ordered a triple Crown and Coke from the cocktail server.

Hand 2 - Chang tossed in his ante and started to type a text message. He folded to a 2,500 open.

Hand 3 - Chang folded preflop to another 2,500 opening raise. He kept typing and his text message was starting to look like a short novel.

Hand 4 - He chats with his neighbor on his left and folded preflop.

Hand 5 - He tossed his cards into the muck again preflop. He left the table to find an outlet to charge his battery.

Hand 6 - From under the gun he folded preflop. Circuit regular Kenny Milam walked by and said, "Watdahell?"

Hand 7 - The dealers switch out and the cocktail server brought him his drink. He took a small taste, nodded in approval and was all smiles. A middle position player moved all in and Chang asked for a count. The magic number was 16,200 and he checked his cards a second time.

"Watdahell..." he muttered and then tossed his cards back to the dealer after a short tank.

Hand 8 - Chang folded preflop from the small blind to a 3,000 opening raise. He got to work on his drink.

Hand 9 - He folded preflop to an opening raise and left the table to take a short stroll around the tournament area.

Carlton Hoodwinks Tepen

Level 12 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Everett Carlton opened for 2,700 and Ryan Tepen raised to 6,100 directly on his left. Action folded back around to Carlton and he called. The flop came {6-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}, Carlton checked and Tepen bet 5,200. Carlton check-raised all in, which brought a huge sigh out of Tepen.

After a moment Tepen flashed pocket kings and tossed his cards away. Carlton turned up pocket threes to put the screws to Tepen.

Clinkscales' Ladies

We caught up with the action to see a player move all in preflop and Rex Clinkscales debating a call. The hands were turned over when Clinkscales announced a call.

Clinkscales: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Clinkscales never lost his lead as the board fell {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and he was able to reduce the field size by one runner.

Clinkscales Busts Another

Level 12 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

We found another short stack move their chips in the middle only to be called by Rex Clinkscales. Clinkscales tabled {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} which was crushing his opponent's {k-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. His opponent found no help with the {7-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board and she quickly took to the exit.
