A Lucky Attorney?! Watch Out!

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Bill Coyle, a 63-year old attorney, raised to 750 from the button after everyone in front of him had folded. The small blind made the call and the two saw a flop of {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} heads up.

The opponent led into Coyle for 1,000 and was called. The turn was the {9-Hearts} which slowed down the player first to act and allowed Coyle to bet 2,500. He was called and the river came down the {5-Hearts}. Coyle's opponent checked again allowing him to bet 3,500 this time. Coyle was called and tabled {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. He had turned the straight and rivered the flush which were enough to ship him the pot.

"I'm a 63-year old attorney getting lucky in the early stages," joked Coyle. It's bad enough to be at the same table with someone who is lucky, but an attorney too? The other players at his table might want to watch out for him as they proceed into the middle stages of Day 1a.
