Ladny Doubles Pooni

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The action folded to David Kim who opened on the button, and Rajdeep Pooni moved all in from the small blind. Eric Ladny re-shoved from the big blind, and Kim folded, showing the {a-Clubs}.

Ladny's ace-queen was racing against Pooni's pocket deuces, and despite flopping three more outs when the dealer fanned a king and a jack, Ladny couldn't connect and Pooni doubled.

Brian Ali
Brian Ali

Brian Ali late registered before play started this afternoon, and is back to defend his title.

The tournament clock currently reads 246 entrants with 246 remaining, which is obviously incorrect, and there is a long line of alternates waiting to jump into the action. Once the final number is tallied, and the prize pool information is announced, we will let you know.

A Line Out the Door

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

There is a line out the door for players that have registered this morning. We're estimating around 30 players signed up for a 20 big blind stack. That is most we've seen at Circuit stop this year.

The Wolf's Kings

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

From the button Casey Montag limped, Dwyte Pilgrim called from the small blind and Mike Wolf bumped it up to 3,400 from the big blind. Montag called and Pilgrim folded.

The flop came {6-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn came {A-Diamonds} and Wolf slid out 3,100. Montag called and the river came {A-Spades}. Wolf checked after a moment and Montag took a few moments before deciding to check behind.

Wolf tabled pocket kings and Montag kicked his hand back to the dealer.

Engel Vs Childs

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Lee Childs let Engel draw first blood.
Lee Childs let Engel draw first blood.

Ari Engel and Lee Childs are seated directly next to each other at Table 74, which should make for some interesting hands. Engel was in the cutoff seat and opened for 2,200. Childs was on the button and put in a raise to 5,200. The blinds released, Engel sat back in his chair and gave Childs a good long look. After a few moments Engel announced all in and Childs folded in short order.
