Kuether Coming Back Down To Earth

About 30 minutes ago, we reporter that Joe Kuether was the big chip leader, sitting on 900,000. Well he has lost some chips since then, including a good amount in back to back hands recently.

In the first hand, we saw that Kuether was heads up with Allen Carter in a big pot. It was on the river when we got there, reading {3-Spades}{a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}, and Kuether had bet out 36,000 in to the pot, which had 85,000 in it. Carter counted out a raise to 120,000, and slid it into the middle. Kuether thought for about 20 seconds before letting his hand go.

On the next hand, Kuether min raised in early position, and got three callers, until the small blind moved all in for 56,000 total. It folded back to Kuether, who isolated by throwing in a stack of red T10,000 chips. Everyone folded, and the cards were flipped.

Kuether: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Kuether was crushed, but got a glimmer of hope when the flop came out {j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. That glimmer woudln't come through though, as the turn brought the {6-Diamonds}, and the river brought the {4-Hearts}. After the hand, Kuether is back down with the rest of the players, but is still around the chip lead with 650,000.
