Boyd Reluctant

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We caught the action on the turn of a {5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} board contested between the player in the big blind position and Dutch Boyd, who was in middle position. The player first to act fired out 17,000 and after a minute or two of thought and what appeared to be ideas of a reraise, Boyd called.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and this time the opponent fired out 24,000. Boyd thought for about 5 minutes, clearly pained by the decision. He made the call and his opponent tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Boyd could only muck his hand and watch the chips go the other way.
