We attempted to grab a word with 2008 November Niner Dennis Phillips on the break but couldn't find him. When cards were in the air again following the break we found another player occupying his seat.

Andrew Nguyen hasn't had to do much more than call his way to the top of the chip counts here at Choctaw.
The Dallas resident managed to flop quad kings early on and was lucky enough to have one plucky opponent betting into him. He min-raised the turn and river, but had to show the goods to collect the pot when he got called down.
Soon after, he held pocket nines on a board and had to think twice before making the call when an opponent shoved. He did so, was shown a bluffy looking and now sits among the leaders.

Another pair of Texans are threatening for the lead here in Durant.
Veteran WSOPC player and Edgwood, Texas native Jim "Catfish" Bullard claims he's been stealing pots all day and now has his stack up to 65k.
In the meantime, Dallas' Darrell Roberts is sitting on 75,000 despite telling PokerNews he hasn't played a memorable hand yet.
"Just chipping up," he said. "Real steady."

The field has one more level to play before the surviving players bag and tag for the evening. This is generally the craziest level of the tournament. With players able to rebuy the short stacks tend to stick in light with hopes of doubling up or getting a fresh stack in the 7 p.m. flight.
Bullard, Texas' Chris Tiller has grabbed hold of what appears to be a massive chip lead here in the WSOPC Choctaw Main Event and according to him, it all happened rather quickly.
In the span of about 10 minutes he managed to win an 80k pot with pocket queens on a jack high flop against one over aggressive opponent who had flopped top pair.
Within minutes another 25k was headed his way when big slick connected against one short stack shoving with pocket fours.
Next thing Tiller knew, he was sitting on 160k and a quick look around the room shows no one even close.
