Phillips Crippled by Quads
Dennis Phillips opened for 2,400 under the gun and received a call from Steve Melton on the button. When the flop fell 
, Phillips check-called a bet of 5,000 before check-calling a bet of 7,000 on the 
turn.
The 
river saw a third check from the St. Louis native, allowing Melton to fire out 11,000. Phillips tanked for a bit before just flatting with

Nice Turn, Bad River for Carlton
We're not sure of the action, but we arrived at Table 41 to see 
laid out in front of Everrett Carlton on a board reading

and was clearly excited to spike his two-outer on the river. Carlton, on the other hand, didn't seemed thrilled to be left with just 21,000.

and he bet 7,000. After a few moments of thought from each player they all folded. He looked a little down that no one wanted to play with him so he showed the

Cartwright Doing Something Right
The reigning champ of this event, Kyle Cartwright, busted last night on Day 1b but opted to reenter here at the start of Day 2 with a 20-big-blind stack. It appears to have been a good decision as he had already ran it up to 76,000.
In a recent hand, Cartwright got his stack of 37,100 all in preflop holding and was racing against his opponent's . Every time we watch Cartwright in a hand he wins, and that's what he did here as the board ran out

Cartwright won his fourth gold ring yesterday, and with a little luck he may make a push for number five here today.
