Another Face in the Crowd
Our first couple passes through the field this afternoon turned up a lamentably sparse crowd of notables. As play has progressed, though, we've been able to pick through the faces a bit more thoroughly, and we're starting to find some more familiar ones scattered throughout the room.
The latest man we came across was Stan Quinn, hidden quietly behind a very loud hat with a busy pattern and the letters "SJ" emblazoned on the front. You may or may not know his name, but we became well familiar with him when he won the 2010-11 Main Event at Harvey's Lake Tahoe. The rest of Quinn's tournament results have come entirely west of the Rockies, so it's nice to see him make the trip down to Palm Beach to try for another Main Event ring.
