David Singontiko flopped a set of nines.

Freddy Deeb opened from the cutoff for 60,000, David Singontiko called from the button and Julie Franks joined them from the small blind. The board came {8-Clubs} {9-Spades} {2-Clubs} and action checked to Singontiko, who bet 135,000. Franks folded and Deeb called. The turn brought the {A-Diamonds} and Deeb check-called 193,000. The river came {5-Spades} and Deeb checked. Singontiko bet 350,000 after some thought and Deeb called after mulling it over for a few moments.

Singontiko tabled {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts} and Deeb kicked his cards back to the dealer.

Vince Cardella Eliminated in 9th Place ($15,935)

Level 26 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Vince Cardella 9th Place
Vince Cardella 9th Place

Vince Cardella had been grinding the short stack since we can remember. He just doubled up holding pocket sevens against Tsung Lu's {7-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}. Then two hands later Cardella entered the last hand he would play in.

Leroy Spires opened from under the gun for 70,000, Brandon Crawford called from the cutoff and Cardella moved all in from the small blind. To everyone's surprise Tong Le announced that he was all in from the big blind. Spires and Crawford got out of the way and they went to a showdown.

Cardella: {8-Spades} {8-Hearts}
Le: {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}

The board ran {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {A-Spades} {6-Hearts} Le's aces and kings sent Cardella to the rail.

Le Pushes Crawford Out Before Break

On the last hand before the break, Brandon Crawford came in for a raise to 65,000. Action folded to Tong Le, who called on the button. The blinds got out of the way, and the two were heads up. The flop came out {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, and Crawford led out for 95,000. Le didn't take too long to assemble the call and slide it forward, and they were off to the turn. That card was the {6-Clubs}, and Crawford amassed a bet of 165,000. Le, a player who has been taking his time on alot of decisions, announced all in before Crawford could finish sliding his bet forward. Crawford sat back in his chair, and counted out his chips. After about two minutes in the tank, Crawford flicked his cards into the muck, dropping his stack to 500,000. Meanwhile, Tong Le has taken the chip lead back, sitting on 2.8 million.

Lu Doubles Through Franks

Julie Sparks started the action by raising it to 75,000. Action folded to Tsung Lu in the cutoff, who thought for about a minute before shoving his stack of 400,000 in the middle, saying "Go big or go home!" The rest of the table folded, and it was back to Franks. She tanked for about a minute, before announcing "call". The cards were flipped, and it was a great call by Franks.

Franks: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Lu: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The flop was about as good as Lu could ask for without actually hitting a ten, coming {5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Lu was now looking for a diamond or a ten to win the pot, and while he didn't get it on the turn, the {k-Spades} gave him outs for a chop. Franks buried her head inot her chair as the river came out, and it came the {10-Clubs}, pairing up Lu and giving him the unlikely double up. After the hand, Lu is up to 800,000, while Franks slips to 330,000.

Julie Franks Eliminated in 8th Place ($20,025)

Following a couple limpers Freddy Deeb raised to 155,000 on the button. Julie Franks moved all in from the big blind and the limpers folded. Deeb called and the hands were tabled.

Franks: {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades}
Deeb: {A-Hearts} {9-Clubs}

The flop ran {6-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} giving Deeb a pair but Franks a set. The turn produced the {A-Clubs} which filled up Franks' fours, but gave Deeb a draw to a bigger full house. The dealer peeled off the river and it was the {9-Hearts} - hitting Deeb's one of four outs.

Franks was all smiles as she made her exit and Deeb looked as if he was checking a book out of the library.
