Johnico Can't Beat Nines-Up

Felicia Johnico and led out for 850 on a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. One of her two opponents called, and the turn brought the {2-Spades}.

Johnico led out again - this time for 1,300 - and her opponent again called.

The {7-Diamonds} completed the board, and Johnico slowed down, checking to her opponent. He checked behind, then tabled {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for nines and sevens.

Johnico mucked.

Roll Isn't Playing Any Monkey Games

With 5,000 in the pot and a flop of {7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, Fred Roll checked from the small blind and watched Will "Monkey" Souther moved all in for 10,000. Roll, who was sitting on a big stack, thought long and hard before making the call.

"Good call," Souther said before tabling {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

"I don't know if it was a good call or not," Roll responded and then revealed {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. No sooner had Roll's cards hit the table than the dealer burned and turned the {K-Clubs}. The table reacted sharply while Souther stared at the bored in disbelief. The {2-Spades} ended up blanking on the river and Souther collected his things before making a quick exit from the tournament floor.

Preflop Raising War

When we arrived at the table, Matt Kirby had a three-bet of 3,250 sitting in front of him in the small blind, and David Nicholson had a four-bet of 7,300 sitting in front of him in the cutoff seat.

Kirby five-bet shoved for 34,550, and Nicholson tanked for the better part of a minute before folding.

Kirby is back over 40,000 chips, while Nicholson slipped to 66,000.

Johnston Doubles Yet Again

Just before the level went up we saw 1986 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Berry Johnston double.

We actually saw Johnston stand in preparation for his exit as he got his last 3,500 or so all in holding {5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} on a {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{J-Clubs} flop against his opponent's {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}. No sooner did he get up then then {4-Diamonds} spiked on the turn to complete his gutshot straight. Johnston sat back down with a big smile as the dealer put out the {A-Hearts} on the river.

Cowboy Up

"Cowboy" John Land had an opponent all in and at risk on a flop of {3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. Land held {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for top two, while his opponent was in severe troubled with {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The turn and river both bricked, eliminating the player from the competition.

"Cowboy" now sits with over 80,000 chips.
