Jewell Falling Early

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

We caught up to find the board reading {6-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Last year's champion Kurt Jewell was heads up with an opponent in the pot and there was about 3,800 in the center of the table.

Jewell's opponent bet 3,600 and Jewell announced a call. His opponent rolled over the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for tens full of queens and Jewell flung his cards into the muck. He's now down to 6,100 in chips.

Easley Can't Call Turn

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

With 2,600 already in the middle, Seneca Easley and an opponent saw a flop of {3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Easley called a bet of 1,700 to see the board pair with the {7-Spades} on fourth street. His opponent shot out 2,000 this time and Easley released his hand, bringing him down to 10,300 in chips.

Chang Can't Be Stopped

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

We came upon the table at the end of the hand, but saw Matt Chang involved in a heads up hand where the board read {K-Spades}{2-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. Chang's opponent pushed out a massive bet of 15,000 on the river. Chang stirred in his seat.

"This could be where I punt it off," he said before tossing in a call.

His opponent rolled over {K-Diamonds}{7-} for trip kings. Chang showed {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a flush and was able to drag in yet another massive pot. He's now sitting on roughly 69,000 in chips.

Chang's Flush Runs Into Boat

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

The board read {2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} and we found Matt Chang calling the all in of a shorter stack player.

"You got a boat?" asked Chang as he called when his opponent came over the top. He showed {A-Spades}{3-Spades} for a turned flush.

Indeed, his opponent did have a full house with {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. The {6-Diamonds} completed the board and Chang was forced to ship double up chips over to the player on the right. This is the first major hit we've seen to Chang's stack today. That being said, he's still sitting more than healthy and still toward the top of the chip counts.

Massey Chooses Not To Gamble

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

John Holley opened with a raise to 625 and Aaron Massey called from the hijack. The button and small blind tagged along and the four players saw a flop of {5-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

The small blind checked and Holley continued for 900. Massey looked at the dealer and announced a raise to 2,225 and the cutoff folded. The small blind quickly announced a three-bet all in over the top. Holley shook his head and mucked his hand and Massey went into the tank.

"I'm going to choose not to gamble," Massey lamented after about thirty seconds. He moved his hand to the muck and his opponent was awarded the pot. With this hit, Massey is now sitting on about 14,500 in chips.
