Kessler KOs Cloutier

TJ Cloutier is no longer with us.
TJ Cloutier is no longer with us.

Allen Kessler came by and told us about a big hand he just won. "TJ (Cloutier) had been playing crazy, almost trying to give his chips away," he said.

Cloutier opened, another player called and Kessler re-raised. Cloutier made it 10,000 to go, the unknown player folded and Kessler moved all in. Cloutier called holding pocket kings and was ahead of Kessler's pocket queens.

The board ran {9-} {9-} {3-} {3-} {Q-} and Kessler knocked the Texas veteran out of the tournament.

Kattamuri on an Upswing

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Raj Kattamuri was facing one limper when he raised to 800 from the cutoff. The blinds folded and the limper called. The flop came {7-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {A-Spades}, the limper checked and Kattamuri bet 1,100. The limper called to see the {K-Hearts} turn and both players checked.

The river came {10-Clubs}, the limper bet 2,600 and Kattamuri called. The limper mucked his hand when Kattamuri tabled {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}.

Johnson Has Piles and Sengphet Slipping

We caught up with La Sengphet and Bill Johnson going to a flop of {9-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}. The two had already had a pot over 8,000. Sengphet checked and Johnson bet 4,400 from the button. Sengphet called and the turn came {4-Spades}.

Both players checked the turn and the river came {4-Clubs}. Sengphet pushed out 10,500 and Johnson quickly called.

Frustration was visible on Sengphet's face and she mucked when Johnson tabled {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}.

Kessler Throws His Hands Up

Allen Kessler has had an up and down afternoon.
Allen Kessler has had an up and down afternoon.

A pot of over 15,000 caught our eye between Allen Kessler and Jason Garder. They were at the river with a board of {6-Spades} {6-Clubs} {3-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}.

Garder moved all in for just over 17,000 and Kessler went into the tank. He mumbled to himself re-working the hand in his head and after some time he pushed in a call.

Garder insta-tabled {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} for sixes full and Kessler threw his hands up in frustration. Kessler mucked and his stack has whittled down to less than the starting stack.
