Better Two Pair for Kirk

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

From early position, Zal Irani raised to 60,000, then action folded to Tripp Kirk in the big blind. He called and took a {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop. On the flop, Kirk checked, and Irani bet 75,000. Kirk made the call.

The turn was the {4-Spades} to pair the board, and both players checked. They also checked when the {Q-Diamonds} landed on the river.

Irani showed the {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}, but that was no good as Kirk tabled the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for a better two pair to win the pot.

Underwood Finds a Double

John Bitakis opened to 60,000 from the hijack seat, Brad Albrinck called on the button, and Christopher Underwood moved all in for 284,000 from the small blind. Bitakis quickly folded, and Albrinck made the call.

Albrinck: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Underwood: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

"Just an ace, dealer," Underwood asked nicely.

There wasn't an ace on the {3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop, but the {a-Hearts} turned, giving Underwood a leading pair of aces. The {8-Diamonds} completed the board, and Underwood doubled through.

Todd Wild Eliminated in 24th Place ($14,976)

Todd Wild - 24th place
Todd Wild - 24th place

From the hijack seat, Ryan Riess raised to 52,000. Shiva Dudani flatted from the cutoff seat, then Todd Wild reraised all in for 328,000 from the button. Play folded through the blinds and back to Riess. He took a minute, then folded. Dudani verified the amount, then called.

Dudani turned over the {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, but was dominated by Wild's {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}. "Nice hand," commented Dudani, but little did he know what was coming next.

The flop came down bleak with the {J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} rolling out, but the {10-Hearts} on the turn gave Dudani plenty of opportunity. The dealer landed the {A-Hearts} on the river, and that gave Dudani a Broadway straight for the win.

Wild was eliminated in 24th place and took home $14,976 for his effort. Dudani moved to over 1.8 million in chips.

Louis Cohen Eliminated in 23rd Place ($14,976)

Robert Estepaniance limped in from middle position, and the action folded to Louis Cohen, who moved all in for just 115,000 from the big blind.

"You want action?" Estepaniance asked him.

"Yes," Cohen chuckled. "I have four big blinds."

Estepaniance obliged, committing the chips, and the hands were opened.

Estepaniance: {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Cohen: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

"It's coming," Estepaniance predicted.

If you remember, Estepaniance made a similar prediction yesterday, and it came true.

Well, the gentleman just might be a seer, because the flop fell {5-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. The turn was the {8-Clubs}, giving Estepaniance a full house for kicks and giggles, and the river was a non-consequential {q-Diamonds}.

Cohen is eliminated, earning $14,976, while Estepaniance is up to around 720,000 chips.

Nosek Jams Turn Against Dudani

From the hijack seat, Shiva Dudani raised to 50,000. Mike Nosek made the call on the button, and everyone else folded before the two saw the {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. On the flop, Dudani checked, and Nosek bet 79,000. Dudani called.

The turn brought the {J-Clubs}, and Dudani checked. Nosek moved all in for 370,000, and Dudani folded.

Crawford Gets Caught; Zazay Doubles

A big double for Rob Zazay
A big double for Rob Zazay

From the cutoff seat, Zal Irani raised to 56,000. Claudia Crawford called out of the small blind, then Rob Zazay reraised to 126,000 from the big blind. Action fell back on Irani, and he made the call. Crawford announced a reraise and then made it an even 400,000 to go.

Crawford's reraise sent Zazay into the tank for quite the bit of time. Eventually, he moved all in. Irani folded.

"How much more is it?" asked Crawford.

"Not that much more," responded someone from the table.

"But how much? Over 400,000 more?" asked Crawford.

"No, not that much," was the dealer's response, prompting a call from Crawford.

"I've got eight high," said Crawford as she turned up the {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Zazay held the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}.

"Yeah, that made no sense," chimed in Irani.

"But now I've got to hold," said the at-risk Zazay.

The flop was an very interesting one with the {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} falling to give Crawford an open-ended straight draw. The turn missed her with the {10-Spades}, as did the {7-Diamonds} on the river. Crawford couldn't connect, and Zazay held for the double. He was all in for 784,000 total.

Mike Nosek - 22nd place

In a three-bet pot, the flop came down {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Shiva Dudani fired 114,000. Mike Nosek raised all in for approximately 450,000, and Dudani snapped him off with the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Nosek held the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

The turn was the {6-Spades}, and the river was the {2-Spades}. Both fourth and fifth street kept Dudani's kings in front as he won the pot to eliminate Nosek in 22nd place.

With that pot, Dudani has moved himself into the chip lead.
