Lauson Loses Some

Travis Lauson, who was one of the first players to cross the 200,000-chip threshold, has recently lost a quarter of his stack.

In one hand, Lauson opened to 2,500 from middle position, and was called by two players. The dealer fanned {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and the action checked to Lauson who fired 7,000. A short-stacked player moved all in for 14,500, the third player folded, and Lauson quickly called.

Lauson: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The turn and river came {j-Clubs}, {4-Clubs} respectively, and Lauson's stack dropped to 175,000 chips.

Re-Raise from Liebert

Kathy Liebert and an opponent were heads up with the board reading {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Liebert tossed out three yellow T1,000 chips, her opponent raised to 7,700, and Liebert responded with a re-raised to 18,000.

Her opponent tanked for a bit then released his hand. Liebert silently mucked her hand, and raked in the pot.

Patel Can't Beat Kings

From early position, a raise came in for 3,100 before action folded to Hiren "Sunny" Patel in the cutoff seat. Patel called, and the flop came down {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. The original raiser checked, then Patel bet 3,600. His opponent quickly check-raised to 8,500, and Patel called.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, and both players checked. They also checked when the {3-Diamonds} landed on the river.

Patel couldn't beat the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} that his opponent showed and mucked his hand.

Affleck Crippled, Then Eliminated
