Corrie Wunstel Eliminated in 10th Place ($17,351)

Level 28 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Corrie Wunstel - 10th Place
Corrie Wunstel - 10th Place

In the last hand fo Day 2, Corrie Wunstel doubled through Ben Mintz to head into Day 3 third in chips. The night ended on a high note, but his tournament just ended on a very low one.

It happened when Kasra Khodayarkhani opened for 65,000 under the gun only to have Wunstel three-bet to 110,000 from middle position. The rest of the players got out of the way, Khodayarkhani four-bet to 250,000 and Wunstel made the call, bringing about a flop of {4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Khodayarkhani slowed down with a check, but then woke up with a check-raise to 255,000 after Wunstel had bet 110,000. After a call was made and the dealer burned and turned the {K-Diamonds}, Khodayarkhani moved all in for 540,000 and Wunstel called off for 445,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Unfortunately for him, he was drawing dead to Khodayarkhani's {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. The meaningless {J-Spades} was run out on the river for good measure and then Wustel exited the stage in tenth place for $17,351.

Chhabra vs. Mintz

Level 28 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Rogen Chhabra opened for 65,000 and Ben Mintz defended from the big blind. The latter proceeded to check-call a bet of 85,000 on the {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Spades} flop before both players checked the {2-Hearts} turn. When the {J-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Mintz led out for 125,000 and Chhabra made a quick call.

"You win," Mintz admitted without revealing his hand. Indeed Chhabra did win after he tabled the {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} for a rivered pair of jacks.

Weinman Over Three Million

Level 28 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Daniel Weinman opened to 60,000 in the hijack seat, Rogen Chhabra called in the cutoff, and Dan Schmiech called on the button. The flop fell {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Weinman and Chhabra checked, and Schmiech fired out 150,000. Only Weinman called.

The turn was the {3-Hearts}, both players checked, and the {6-Clubs} completed the board. Weinman led out fo 285,000, and Schmiech immediately called. Weinman showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for nines and eights, and Schmiech showed {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for a lesser two pair.

Weiman Continues to Rise

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

In one of the last hands of Level 28, Daniel Weinman raised under the gun and Pavan Bhatia defended from the big blind. Bhatia proceeded to check-call a bet of 80,000 on the {7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop before both players checked the {4-Diamonds} turn.

Bhatia checked for a third time on the {3-Spades} river, and Weinman reverted to betting, this time 190,000. Bhatia made the call but mucked when Weinman rolled over the {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Did He Have Quad Aces?

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

With around 400,000 already in the pot and a board reading {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs}, Rogen Chhabra, who was in the big blind, check-called a bet of 80,000 from Joseph Hebert. When the {A-Diamonds} river put three aces on the board, Chhabra seized the initiative and led out for 160,000. Hebert thought for a minute before putting in a raise to 520,000, and it was enough to get the job done as Chhabra released his hand.

Hebert Jams the River

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Kasra Khodayarkhani opened to 85,000 in early position, Joseph Hebert three-bet to 145,000 in the hijack seat, and the action folded back to Khodayarkhani, who called.

The dealer fanned {10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, Khodayarkhani quickly checked, and Hebert continued for 105,000. Khodayarkhani called.

Khodayarkhani checked again when the {j-Clubs} turned, and Hebert fired out another 180,000. Khodayarkhani basically clicked it back, check-raising to 375,000, and Hebert thought for 30 seconds or so before calling.

The {q-Hearts} completed the board, and Khodayarkhani checked for a third and final time.

"All in," Hebert said quietly, sliding forward a stack of baby blue T25,000 chips.

Khodayarkhani sat quietly with his head in his hand, the wheels turned behind his eyes. He eventually pushed his cards forward into the muck, forfeiting the 1.2 million-chip pot.

Hebert now has 3.2 million chips, while Khodayarkhani sunk down to 1.05 million.

Graham Evens Up with Weinman

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Joe Hebert raised to 80,000 from middle position and received a call from Luke Graham. When action reached Daniel Weinman in the small blind, he opted for a three-bet to 220,000 and only Graham called.

When the flop fell {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Weiman simply moved all in and put the pressure on Graham, who had 955,000 behind. Graham, who finished sixth in the WSOP Circuit Palm Beach Kennel Club Main Event back in February for $40,029, thought for a solid four minutes before calling off.

Graham: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Weinman: {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

It was a good call by Graham and he would be rewarded big time as the {2-Clubs} turn and {J-Hearts} river allowed his hand to hold. With that, the two men are essentially even in chips.
