Herzali Sees Through Matta

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop, Gwendoline Laurent bet 1,700 and Sarah Herzali called. Ralph Matta raised to 5,200, Laurent folded, and Herzali called again.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds}, prompting Herzali to lead out 6,000. Matta made the call in position.

On the {3-Clubs} river, Herzali checked and Matta quickly splashed three T-5,000 chips into the pot. Herzali thought around thirty seconds before making the call.

Matta knocked the table, indicating Herzali was good, and showed {J-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for sixes and treys. Herzali tabled {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} for tens and sixes and scooped up the pot.

Soulier Busts Kaddouri

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Fabrice Soulier started the day off slowly, but is currently in full pedal-to-the-metal mode. After a raise to 1,100 and a call, the French mastermind three-bet to 3,800 from the cutoff. On the button, Mounim Kaddouri four-bet to 11,250 and Soulier called.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Soulier checked. Kaddouri instantly moved in for 22,000 and Soulier snap-called it off.

Fabrice Soulier: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Mounim Kaddouri: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

Soulier was in great shape to knock out his opponent and held up after the {K-Hearts} turn and {4-Spades}. With that, Soulier suddenly sits among the chip leaders with 90,000.

Kaddouri Shoves

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Patrick Vittet and Mounim Kaddouri had built a pot of over 40,000 already, when the latter shoved all in on a {6-Spades}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} board. It was 14,000 total to Vittet, who was playing 20,000 behind. He elected to fold and Kaddouri raked it in.

Verhaegen Sinks Boatman Again

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

It hasn't been Barny Boatman's day yet, as another attempt at WSOP Circuit glory failed. The board read {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and the pot was up over 20,000. With action on Boatman, the Brit moved in with his remaining stack of 17,000.

Verhaegen needed just five seconds, then calmly flicked in a calling ship. Boatman instantly mucked his hand, but rules force hands to be shown in an all-in situation. Boatman was forced to open {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for five-high and Verhaegen showed {K-Clubs}{J-Spades} to secure the elimination.
