Valtiekunas Takes Modest Pot

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Play has started slow at the final table, with many raise and take its without play going to the flop.

Paulius Vaitiekunas and Adam Cedric saw a flop of {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. Cedric bet 27,000 and was called by Valtiekunas. The turn was the {9-Spades}. Action went check-check. The river came the {k-Diamonds} and both players checked once again.

Cedric turned over the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} but was not good enough as Valtiekunas had the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

Turner Stays Active at the Table

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Eric Salazar opened to 37,000 in early position and Joshua Turner three-bet to 112,000 on his left. The action folded back to Salazar who put together a four-bet to 384,000. Turner thought for a minute but decided to give up on his hand.

A couple of hands later, Turner opened to 40,000 from under the gun and Adam Cedric called on the button. The two players saw a flop of {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Turner led out for 28,000. Cedric called and the {9-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Turner splashed in another bet of 81,000 and Cedric mulled it over but conceded the pot.

Reichard Forces Hawkins Out

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Three players saw a flop of {6-Spades}{8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Josh Reichard was in middle position and bet about 70,000. Adam Cedric folded and Maurice Hawkins called. The turn was the {4-Diamonds}. Reichard bet again, this time for 165,000 which Hawkins called again.

The river came the {q-Spades} to put three spades on the board. Reichard asked how much Hawkins had behind before announcing all in which forced Hawkins to fold after a couple of seconds.

Easy Come, Easy Go

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Ryan Eriquezzo opened to 38,000 in middle position and Jarod Minghini shipped all in for 284,000 in the cutoff. Joshua Turner re-shoved all in over the top in the small blind and Eriquezzo folded.

Jarod Minghini: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Joshua Turner: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Minghini held on for a full double up to over 600,000.

In the next hand, Paulius Vaitiekunas raised to 35,000 from under the gun and was called by Minghini in the hijack, Turner on the button, and Maurice Hawkins in the small blind.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Hawkins checked to Vaitiekunas who continued for 50,000. Minghini and Turner called while Hawkins folded. The turn was the {j-Hearts} and the action checked to Minghini who pushed out a bet of 165,000. Turner folded and Vaitiekunas check-raised all in. Minghini thought for a minute but decided to send his cards to the muck.

"Ace-queen of hearts," Hawkins announced. Vaitiekunas replied by showing {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a similar type of hand.

Salazar Drops the Biggest Hammer

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

There was a flurry of preflop action as Paulius Valtiekunas raised to 40,000 from early position. Adam Cedric three-bet to 85,000. From the button, Eric Salazar made a big four-bet to 335,000. Joshua Turner thought for a while, assessing all the action in front of him before folding his hand seemingly reluctantly. Valtiekunas quickly got out of the way and Cedric folded after about ten seconds and Salazar scooped up his pre-flop winnings.

After the hand, Turner announced that he folded pocket kings and Maurice Hawkins was in disbelief. The rail, who apparently saw Turner's hand, confirmed the fold. The table chat continued for many hands after with Hawkins voicing the loudest opinion.

Turner Builds an Image

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

As the rest of the table was still continuing the conversation about Joshua Turner folding pocket kings preflop, Turner was back in the saddle and playing another hand. Turner raised to 50,000 in middle position and Jordan Piva three-bet to 140,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Turner called.

The flop fell {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Spades} and Turner checked to Piva who continued for 170,000. Turner slid out a check-raise to 500,000 and Piva thought for a minute before folding. Turner showed {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Maurice Hawkins had a new hand to talk about now.
