Turner Folds to Piva

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Jordan Piva raised to 50,000 in middle position and Joshua Turner defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Turner started with a check.

Piva tossed in a bet of 45,000 and Turner replied with a check-raised to 105,000. Piva counted out a three-bet to 260,000, nearly half of his remaining chips. Turner flicked his cards to the muck and Piva scooped the pot.

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Maurice Hawkins

Action exploded on the river of a board that read {j-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}. All the chips ended up in the middle after a bet, shove and call happened in rapid succession.

Maurice Hawkins turned over the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} while Paulius Vaitiekunas said "wow what a cooler" and showed the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the no good second boat and Hawkins took in the monster pot.

Minghini Holds On to Double Up

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The action folded around to Jarod Minghini on the button who shoved all in for 390,000. Eric Salazar asked for a count from the small blind and eventually made the call to put Minghini at risk.

Jarod Minghini: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Eric Salazar: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} to give Minghini a commanding lead with a pair of aces. The {3-Hearts} on the turn provided a sweat with a flush draw but the {q-Diamonds} on the river ensured Minghini of a double up.

Cedric Finds a Miracle River

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Maurice Hawkins opened to 60,000 from early position and Adam Cedric shoved all in for 435,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Hawkins asked for a count before making the call.

Adam Cedric: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Maurice Hawkins: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Hawkins took the lead with a pair of queens. The {j-Spades} on the turn improved Hawkins to two pair and Cedric was left drawing to only a ten. Sure enough, the {10-Spades} hit the river and Cedric made a straight in order to double up.

Jarod Minghini Eliminated in 8th Place ($28,572)

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jarod Minghini
Jarod Minghini

Paulius Vaitiekunas raised from middle position. Jarod Minghini jammed all in from the small blind and was instantly called.

Minghini was ahead with the {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} against the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} of Vaitiekunas. The flop was a mundane {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Spades} but the {q-Clubs} on the turn changed everything and suddenly had Minghini's tournament on life support, which the {8-Diamonds} on the river could not save. The chips were counted to make sure Minghini was covered and he was abruptly taken out in 8th place.

Jordan Piva Eliminated in 7th Place ($35,939)

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jordan Piva
Jordan Piva

Jordan Piva opened to 60,000 from the cutoff and Ryan Eriquezzo three-bet to 215,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Piva shoved all in for just under 800,000. Eriquezzo snap-called and Piva was at risk.

Ryan Eriquezzo: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Jordan Piva: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

The flop of {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} left Eriquezzo in the lead and Piva was left drawing slim. The {7-Hearts} on the turn and the {9-Hearts} on the river changed nothing which sent Piva home in seventh place.

The final six players will now bag their chips and return at 2 pm tomorrow for the final day of the tournament.
