It is time for Day 2 of the $3,250 High Roller at Foxwoods (Connecticut). 19 players return to action at 2 p.m. local time and will play down to the eventual circuit ring winner.

Registration is still open until the start of play, so there may be a few more entries who will join the 19 remaining to take a shot at the title and the money to create the total prizepool numbers.

Sitting at the top of the chip counts with a small chip lead is WSOP Circuit Ring winner Luke Graham. The Florida native enters the day with 155,500 in chips. He is looking for another big score in 2019 after having two large ones this year, including a deep run at the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas, finishing in 29th place.

Second in chips with 149,000 is WSOPc grinder Dennis Brand. Hailing from Sugarland, TX, Brand has already put together a very productive 2019/20 WSOP circuit season already having eight total cashes from Choctaw, Cherokee and at this stop in Foxwoods where he has three.

Well known Brazilian player Josias Santos, who now calls Kissimee, FL home is third in chips as he brings back a 145,500 stack. He will be looking to make his first really big score on the WSOP circuit today.

Connecticut local Tarun Gulati is the fourth player above 140,000 and in the striking distance of the chip lead as he has a stack of 141,500 entering the day. The vast majority of Gulati’s WSOP resume includes results from his home casino here in Foxwoods as he will look to add another one today.

Several other players enter today with a chance for the money and the title, including Adam Demersseman (125,000), well-known Massachusetts playerMatthew Wantman (121,500), two time circuit ring winner Steven Tabb (93,500) and local Connecticut circuit ring winner Dave Stefanski (71,500).

Play will restart at level 13 with blinds at 1,000/2,000 and with a 2,000 big blind ante with the average chip stack at 38 big blinds. Levels are 40 minutes in length, there will be a 15-minute break every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break is scheduled for after level 21, which will approximately be at 8:30 p.m.

PokerNews will bring all the Day 2 action to your screens as the High Roller will play down to a champion.

Andrew Lauer
Andrew Lauer

Andrew Lauer continued his white hot start to the day as action was picked up on the river of a board that read {5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Lauer moved all in for his remaining 46,000 into a pot of about 75,000. Dennis Brand tossed in the one chip call immediately.

Lauer turned over the {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for fives full and Brand mucked to give Lauer the huge pot.

Action was picked up on the river of a board that read {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Tarun Gulati bet 46,000 into a pot of roughly 65,000. Paul Snead had the decision on his hands.

"This must be a sick cooler" said Snead as he thought it over. After about 30 seconds he called.

Gulati turned over the {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the full boat and Snead shook his head and mucked in frustration as a large portion of his newly acquired chips went to his immediate left to Gulati.

Paul Snead
Paul Snead

Shortly After Scott Efron was eliminated in 6th place, Paul Snead was next to hit the rail.

He got it all in preflop with {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and was called by Andrew Lauer who had the {k-Spades}{7-Spades}.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. The turn was the {4-Clubs} to open a straight draw and the straight would come home for Lauer as the {8-Clubs} came off on the river.

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
James Frangoulidis
James Frangoulidis

What ended up being the largest pot of the tournament thus far, started as a blind on blind situation.

James Frangoulidis raised to 27,000 out of the small blind. Andrew Lauer three-bet it to 73,000 from the big blind. Frangoulidis did not back down and four-bet it to 127,000. Lauer announced all in and was quickly called by Frangoulidis.

Frangoulidis who was the one at risk in a hand that was somewhat reminiscent of the famous 2010 Main Event hand between Joseph Cheong and Jonathan Duhamel, with the same pocket holdings.

James Frangoulidis {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Andrew Lauer {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

But on this occasion the ace would come as the flop sent Frangoulidis into the lead when an ace came in the window {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} the turn was the {k-Spades} and the {3-Clubs} on the river did not help Lauer, who pounded his chips into his hands in anger as a huge portion of his stack was sent to double up the 354,000 of Frangoulidis.

Tarun Gulati moved all in from under the gun and was called by James Frangoulidis in the small blind.

Gulati was well ahead with the {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} against the {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} of Frangoulidis.

But the flop was bad news for Gulati as it came {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} the turn was a useless {4-Diamonds} and the {9-Clubs} on the river confirmed Gulati's elimination.
