Maurice Hawkins Eliminated in 16th Place ($14,841)

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Maurice Hawkins
Maurice Hawkins

Coming back from the break, Maurice Hawkins shoved all in for a little over 500,000 from the hijack. Dann Turner called from the cutoff and the rest of the table folded.

Dann Turner: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Maurice Hawkins: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

Hawkins was cheering for a three but the flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} was alright for his hand too. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn was also safe for Hawkins but the {q-Spades} on the river was not. Turner paired his queen and Hawkins hit the rail in 16th place.

Born Binks Backdoor on River to Take Huge Pot

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

On a flop of {3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{a-Spades}, Billy Cashwell made a bet of about 200,000 and was raised all in by Scott Born. Cashwell called instantly and turned over the {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for trips while Born only had the {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} to give some broadway outs to Born and the river completed those outs when the {10-Spades} came off to complete the unlikely backdoor straight.

Born, who had stood up, sat back down when the river came and breathed a sigh of relief as Cashwell gave a frustrated exasperation as he had to cut out the chips to send to his right.

"Nice call," Ba said as he mucked his cards. The pot was pushed to Georato and he tabled {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for just king-high.

"That was a good bet," Georato said.
