It is that time of year once again for the WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Cherokee Event 10: $1700 Main Event. Always one of the most anticipated main events of the circuit calendar, this year is expected to generate another large competitive field and the winner will be the first main event champion of the 2019/2020 WSOP Circuit season.
Last year, Adam Ross of Georgia won a life changing $295,970 after topping a field of 1,056 entries, including the defeat of experienced circuit grinder Ryan Phan heads up. This year’s Cherokee Harrah’s Circuit has already had a lot of action and will be culminated by this main event.
This year the event will feature two starting flights, both starting at 11 a.m. The first one, Flight A is today August 9 and Flight B is tomorrow August 10. The first fifteen levels are 40 minutes long. Each flight will play either 16 levels or until 16% of the field remains, whichever comes first. Fifteen-minute breaks are every three levels (two hours) of play with a 60-minute dinner break after level 9. Registration is open all the way until the start of level 13 and players are allowed one re-entry per flight, which is a total of four max.

The action folded to John Veach on the button who made it 300 to go. Both Ralph Eagen and Daniel Yun called from the blinds. The flop fell and Eagen led out for 800 from the small blind. Yun called and Veach came along as well.
The turn was the and the action checked to Veach who fired out a bet of 1,800. Both Eagen and Yun called to see the on the river.
Both of the blinds checked again and Veach splashed in a bet of 4,100. Eagen called and Yun also flicked in a chip to call. Veach turned over for a straight and both of his opponents mucked their cards.

Herbert Baker was seen collecting a nice pot of over 10,000 on the river after a bet and call. The board read and Baker's was displayed as the winning hand. His opponent tapped the table to indicate nice hand as Baker reeled in his chips.

There was a raise to 400 from under the gun and seven players headed to the flop. It was nearly a family pot with all but one player still alive in the hand. The flop came and the action checked around to the on the turn.
The small blind led out for 500 and picked up three callers including Jeffrey Whittinghill on the button. The river was the and the action checked to Whittinghill who decided to check as well. Whittinghill turned over for a straight and the other three players mucked their cards.
"Never know if anyone might have ace-queen," Whittinghill said as he collected the pot.

Action was picked up on the turn of a board that read . Simon Philip bet 11,500 and was called by William Meyer. The river was the . Philip went all in for his remaining amount.
Meyer frowned and seemed to not like the situation but he did make the call only to see the bad news as Philip turned over the for flopped broadway. Meyer showed his defeated set with the as most of his stack was gone and his seat was empty a couple of hands later.
