Lin Chips Up Early

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

There was around 26,000 in the pot on a flop of {3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} as Michael Lin had checked from the big blind to his opponent, Kelly Minkin, who was under the gun. Minkin bet 15,000 and Lin put out chips to call.

The turn came {8-Clubs} and Lin checked again. Minkin fired a second barrel for 27,500 and Lin took about a minute before making the call. The river fell {k-Spades} and Lin checked to Minkin. She checked behind.

The two briefly entered a stalemate at showdown, with Lin hoping to see Minkin's hand. She did not budge and he turned over {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a full house. Minkin mucked and the dealer sent Lin the pot.
