"Don't Show Me a Bluff...That's a Bluff."

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante
Rob Anderson
Rob Anderson

Dann Turner bet 5,500 from the cutoff into two opponents on a {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} board. The bet prompted one opponent to fold, but Rob Anderson made the call from middle position.

The river brought the {3-Diamonds}, and Anderson led out with an all-in bet for his last 15,000. The move sent Turner deep into the tank.

Turner wondered out loud about the chances of Anderson catching threes full on the river, and took a few minutes to mull over his next move. The clock was eventually called, and Turner made the fold with time running out.

"Show me a bluff!" said Turner. "No, don't show me a bluff." Anderson then tabled {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. "That's a bluff," said Turner as Anderson collected the pot.

Meanwhile, seated in between Anderson and Turner is Austin Yoo, who has one of the bigger stacks in the room at 92,000.

Table 6 Updates

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante
Traci Brown
Traci Brown

Farhad Sinaei was on the button and had a bet of 3,000 in front of him on a board of {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} against his opponent who had checked to him in the big blind. After some thought, he received a call.

Sinaei tabled {a-Clubs}{5-Spades} for Broadway and his opponent mucked, remarking that he had two pair. Sinaei acknowledged as he raked in the pot.

Meanwhile, Traci Brown's seat had been vacated after she was seen with only around 6,000 in chips prior to the hand. According to Billy Le, Brown shoved under the gun for 6,900 and another player in middle position called all in for 6,100. Action folded around to Careen Foster in the big blind and she quickly called.

Careen Foster: {q-}{q-}
Traci Brown: {j-}{j-}
Third Player: {10-}{10-}

Le narrated the flop: "Queen deuce four. Done! Bye-bye!" Foster had flopped top set and found herself to score the double knockout.

Foster then chimed in: "Then I gave them all to him!" as she pointed back at Le.

They both filled in the details, saying they played a big pot with Foster having {a-}{10-} and Le having {j-}{j-}, bringing the aforementioned player's stack sizes to their present totals.

"The Difference Between Pocket Kings and Pocket Deuces"

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante
Billy Le
Billy Le

Billy Le is far and away the front runner for the player having the most fun in the room, happily chatting with all of his tablemates all afternoon long thus far. His most recent allegory was an exclamation about the difference between pocket kings and pocket deuces.

"When you have pocket kings and the flop comes with one overcard, you are no good. But when you have pocket deuces and the flop comes with only one overcard, you have the nuts!"

Storytelling isn't all he's doing, however, as he has chipped up to over 40,000 in chips, increasing his stack by over 33 percent from the 30,000 with which he started in the first three-plus hours of play on the day.

Crump's Full House Tops the Nut Flush

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante
Dustin Crump
Dustin Crump

With about 20,000 already in the pot, and the board reading {8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, a player in the hijack checked to Dustin Crump on the cutoff. Crump put in a bet for 8,000, and the hijack player didn't take too long to contemplate the decision before calling.

That player let out a sigh when Crump turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, good for the full boat. The hijack tabled {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, but in this case the nut flush was no good. The hijack was left with just 4,00 chips after taking the cooler, while Crump improved to go over the 50k mark.

"These Chips Will Be Put Into Play, Though!"

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante
Pat Lyons
Pat Lyons

Pat Lyons was seen in the poker room last night deep in a satellite to today's Main Event in which he was one of 23 players to qualify for the tournament today. His stack had been in play since cards began to fly at noon, however, he was only seen entering the tournament about 15 minutes ago.

His starting stack of 30,000 had gone down to 26,100, but he wasn't worried: "These chips will be put into play, though!" he exclaimed.

It appears the start of his day has him trending in a direction, though, as he was just seen with a stack size of around half that of the starting stack. Stay tuned.

The river brought the {10-Hearts}, and the small blind check-called a 6,500 bet from Elpayaa. who showed down {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to take down the pot.

Varnell Chipping Up Early

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
Craig Varnell
Craig Varnell

There was at least 2,500 in the pot on a board of {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} as players in early- and middle position had checked to Craig Varnell, who was in the hijack. Varnell bet 1,800 and got a fold from the early-position player and a call from the player in middle position.

Action then went heads up to the river {k-Clubs}, where Varnell saw his now-only opponent check to him. He bet 3,200 and received another call.

Upon being called, Varnell confidently tabled {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, with his sixes up prompting a muck from his opponent as he saw the pot sent his way, bringing him over 50,000 early in the day.
