Chadna Spikes a Double

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Karan Chadna was on the button and opened to 10,000. He was three-bet to 40,000 by Stuart Tuvey out of the big blind and went all in over the top for 93,000. Tuvey called.

Karan Chadna: {q-Spades}{k-Spades}
Stuart Tuvey: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Chadna found himself in dominated shape at risk for his tournament life. Luckily for him, the board ran out {5-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} to give him a full house, queens full of kings en route to the early double.

Tuvey Gives Rodriguez the Pile; Lyons Showered

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Stuart Tuvey had opened from under the gun and was three-bet by Noel Rodriguez to 37,000 out of the small blind. Tuvey was in the process of going all in, which prompted a fold from Rodriguez to earn Tuvey the pot.

As the hand was finishing, the floor came by to instruct the dealer to provide a high card, meaning their table was broken. Rodriguez drew the new seat of Table 4, Seat 7, the seat that had been vacated by Pat Lyons just moments earlier.

Lyons was still present at the table as Rodriguez took his seat and the two exchanged pleasantries. Lyons later confirmed his elimination, saying he three-bet all in preflop with ace-jack and was called by pocket tens. He failed to improve, losing the flip and becoming another pre-cash-ualty.

Turner Sends Le to the Rail

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Dann Turner
Dann Turner

Dinh Le opened on the button, and Dann Turner called on the big blind.

Turner checked the {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop, and Leung continued for 13,000. Turner check-raised to 30,000, and Leung reraised all in for 165,000 more. Turner snap called.

Dinh Le: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Dann Turner: {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Le still had hope with the nut flush draw, but found himself behind Turner's already made flush. The turn and river brought no further help to Le, coming {a-Spades} and {5-Clubs}, and Leung's Main Event run is over.
