With around 12,000 in the middle, and the board showing {j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, Tyler Cormney bet 8,500, and Peter Chu called in the cutoff.

Cormney checked the {9-Spades} river, and Chu bet 22,500. Cormney tanked for a bit, then called, but saw the bad news when Chu tabled {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, good for a set of threes.

Both players it north of the 100k mark in the aftermath, with Cormney among the tournament chip leaders in spite of the loss.

Allen Pock
Allen Pock

A player opened to 2,000 from middle position and Allen Pock called from the small blind. The flop came {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Pock check-called a bet of 3,000.

The {5-Spades} fell on the turn and Pock checked it over to his opponent who bet 7,500. Pock placed a stack of grey 5,000 chips in the middle forcing his opponent to make a decision for his last 14,500. He called.

Allen Pock: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

The meaningless {5-Hearts} river was dealt and Pock now sits with over 200,000 chips.

Quads Over Full House for Sumpter

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante
Robert Sumpter
Robert Sumpter

A three-way, four-bet pot preflop put about 30,000 chips in the middle, and the flop came {10-Spades}{q-Spades}{a-Diamonds}.

Robert Sumpter, in the big blind, went all in, and got calls from both an early position opponent, as well as the hijack.

Both Sumpter and the early position player saw the bad news when the cards turned over.

Robert Sumpter: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Early Position: {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Hijack: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

The turn changed nothing, with the {9-Spades} coming in. The river {10-Clubs}, however, brought in quad tens for Sumpter, sending the early position player to the rail, and leaving the hijack stunned with his set of aces unable to hold.
