The WSOP Circuit Baltimore $1,700 Main Event gets underway at 11 a.m. local time at the Horseshoe Casino with the first of two starting flights.
The last WSOP Circuit Baltimore Main Event was back in May 2018 and it was Mike Jukich, from Lynchburg, VA who took it down after topping a field of 513 competitors. He collected the first-place prize of $165,438 as well as his first Circuit ring.
This event features two starting flights and there is a $500,000 guarantee in the prize pool. Players will start with 30,000 in chips and they will have the option of one re-entry per flight, equaling a maximum of four entries.
Day 1 will play through 16 levels or down to 16% of the field, whichever comes first. Levels 1 to 15 will be of 40 minutes each and levels 16+ will be of 60 minutes. There will be a 15-minute break every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break at the completion of Level 9. Registration will remain open until the start of Level 13.

The tournament director has now informed all dealers to shuffle up and start pitching the cards.
Aviel Rubin opened to 400 from the hijack and Michael Bills three-bet to 1,300 from the button. Action folded back to Rubin who added the remainder to call.
The dealer spread a flop of and Rubin checked. Bills bet 1,200 and Rubin check-called.
The turn brought the and was checked through to the river. This time, Rubin led out with a bet of 3,000 and Bills took a few seconds of reflection, then called. Rubin turned over for a set of tens and Bills showed before sending his cards to the muck.

Robert Woods raised to 300 from the button and Scott Drobes called from the small blind along with Behroo Jamshid in the big blind.
The flop fell and Drobes checked. Jamshid bet 600 and Woods folded but Drobes check-called.
The dealer burned and turned the and Drobes check-called another bet of 1,100 from Jamshid.
The filled up the river and both players opted to check.
"Six," muttered Drobes, but that wasn't good enough as Jamshid turned over to rake in the pot with a pair of jacks.

Ian Davis opened to 300 from the hijack and the player on the cutoff called. Derrick Knipe three-bet to 1,200 from the small blind and Davis and the player on the cutoff stuck around with a call.
The dealer spread a flop of that was checked around to the river. Knipe threw in a bet of 1,200, that was enough to claim the pot.
