The centerpiece event of the World Series of Poker Circuit Planet Hollywood tournament series has arrived! The $1,700 Main Event kicks off today at noon from Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, with the first of two Day 1 flights.
Day 1a takes place today, with Day 1b being played Saturday. Both Day 1 flights are structured with 40-minute levels, 30,000 starting stacks, one re-entry per player per flight, and late registration available up through the beginning of Level 13.
The blinds will start at 100/100 for Level 1, with a big blind ante kicking in on Level 2. Level 15, if Day 1a gets that far, will feature blinds/ante of 1500/3000/3000.
The field will take 15-minute breaks after every three levels, and a 60-minute dinner break following Level 9. Both Day 1 flights will play through 15 levels, until 12 percent of the field remains, whichever comes first.
On the line is a piece of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, as well as a WSOP Circuit ring and a seat in the 2019 WSOP Global Championship to the eventual winner.
The 2018 edition of this event drew 518 entries and a $784,770 prize pool, which is guaranteed to be exceeded in this tournament. Travis Dorsey is the defending champion in this event, and Dorsey took home a grand prize of $168,722 for his win in November 2018.
The survivors of Day 1a and Day 1b will come back as a combined field Sunday for Day 2, and the tournament will play down to a champion on Day 3, on Monday, November 26.

The tournament director has announced the ceremonial "Shuffle Up and Deal" and cards are in the air.
Bruce Kramer opened to 300 form the cutoff and the player in the small blind called.
The dealer spread a flop of and the big blind checked. Kramer bet 600 and his opponent check-called.
The turn brought the and was checked through to the river. The big blind checked for a third time but Kramer threw in a bet of 1,500. His opponent folded.
"I had sixes," muttered Kramer.
"I had ace-jack," responded his opponent.

Action folded to the player in the small blind who raised to 300 and Kent Buckingham defended from the big blind.
The flop fell and the small blind threw in a bet of 300 that Buckingham called.
The dealer burned and turned the and action went check-check to the river. The small blind checked once more and as soon as Buckingham grabbed a bet of 900, he let it go.

With the flop reaading , David Juenemann checked from the small blind, his cutoff opponent bet 600, and Juenemann put in the check-raise to 1,700.
The cutoff folded, and Juenemann showed for the flopped set as he raked in the pot.

Sam Alagha bet 800 from under the gun on the turn of a board, and his opponent on the cutoff made the call.
With about 3,500 in the pot, the river came , Alagha bet 2,000, and his opponent folded.

The cutoff opened to 300 and got three callers, including Renato Ogranaja in the big blind.
All four players checked the flop. Ogranaja bet 700 on the turn, the cutoff and button players folded, and the small blind called.
Both players checked the turn, and Ogranaja turned over for a rivered straight, taking in the pot.

The player under the gun opened to 300 and Yaron Zeev Malki called from one seat over. The hijack three-bet to 1,200 and the player under the gun as well as Malki added the remainder to call.
The flop came and action was checked to the hijack who bet 1,800. The player under the gun folded but Malki check-called.
The turn was the and Malki check-called another bet of 3,600 from the hijack.
The filled up the board and this time, Malki led out with a bet of 3,800. His opponent took a few seconds of reflection, but chose to give up his hand.
