Mannes Sits Down to Pocket Kings

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Gary Mannes was one of the latest players to just take a seat and it didn't take long for him to put his fresh stack of 30,000 chips to work. After a couple of preflop raises, Mannes and his opponent got all of their chips in the middle with very similar stacks.

Gary Mannes: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} to give Mannes a set of kings but his opponent picked up a flush draw. The {9-Hearts} on the turn and the {6-Diamonds} on the river only improved Mannes to a full house. After the stacks were counted, it was his opponent who was at risk for 26,500 and was eliminated.
