Benarrouche Doubles

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Stephane Benarroche
Stephane Benarroche

A player limped from early position before Ayman Jarrar made it 1,800 from the hijack. PMU.fr qualifier Stephane Benarrouche called as did the original limper.

The action checked around to Jarrar and he made it 3,400 after the {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} came on the flop. Benarrouche called and the other player folded.

Benarrouche check-called a bet of 6,400 after the {10-Clubs} came on the turn. The {5-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Benarrouche checked. Jarrar jammed for more than the 27,000 Benarrouche had behind and his opponent called.

Benarrouche then began taking a video of two well-known poker pros Leo Margets and Erwann Pecheux, who were chatting away through the hand.

Jarrar turned over {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Benarrouche didn't seem to hear yet that he had to turn over his cards. He showed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for two-pair and collected a big pot.

Nicholas Doubles David

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Nicholas and David
Nicholas and David

Two players using nicknames battled it out in Nicholas and David.

Nicholas opened up for 1,500 from early position before David three-bet to 4,100 from one seat over. The action folded around to Nicholas who made the call.

Both players checked after the {8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{k-Clubs} came on the flop. Nicholas then check-called a bet of 4,000 after the {8-Hearts} paired the board on the turn.

Nicholas then fired out a huge stack of chips more than covering the 11,100 his opponent had left behind after the {q-Clubs} came on the river and David made the call.

Nicholas turned over {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a missed straight-draw and David collected the pot after he turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

Snowmen Don't Hold for Steinbach

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Pierre Sinnig opened to 2,300 from early position. Salah Eddine Taleb called from middle position as did Bernard Guigon from the small blind.

Frederic Steinbach jammed for 20,400 from the big blind. The action paused on Sinnig for five minutes before the clock was called. With about five seconds left on the clock, Steinbach folded.

Taleb made a snap-call and Guigon quickly folded.

Frederic Steinbach: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Salah Eddine Taleb: {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} came on the flop to give Taleb a flush draw. The {q-Spades} came on the turn to give him a better pair than his opponent. Steinbach shook his head in frustration after the {5-Spades} on the river was unable to get him back into the hand.

Short Stacks Collide

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Bruno Paulo Bernardino open-jammed from the small blind for 6,300. The action paused on a player just known as VPA for about a minute before he called with just 2,100 left behind if he lost the hand.

Bruno Paulo Bernardino: {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}
VPA: {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

It was a flip, although not a classic one. Bernardino appeared to have a solid lead in the hand after the {5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop giving him a set.

However, the {6-Spades} came on the turn followed by the {4-Hearts} on the river to give his opponent a straight and Bernardino was out of chips.

Willy Wonka Wins a Chocolate Factory

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Willy Wonka
Willy Wonka

A Spanish player known just as Willy Wonka might as well own a chocolate factory as he is sitting on a monster stack of 230,000 in chips.

He just won a massive pot against another player using a nickname in Claude Franco.

Willy Wonka bet 15,000 into a pot of 30,000 after the {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} came on the flop. Claude Franco min-raised to 30,000 and Willy Wonka jammed to more than cover the around 80,000 his opponent had left behind. Claude Franco called and players turned over their cards.

Willy Wonka: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Claude Franco: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Willy Wonka was ahead but had to sweat some outs has his opponent had draws for the straight and a set.

The {7-Spades} on the turn didn't help Claude Franco and he was eliminated after the {a-Hearts} on the river further improved Willy Wonka to a full house.

Guichard Doesn't Need a Showdown

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

There was a four-bet and a call to create a pot of around 15,000 before the flop. Paul Guichard bet about 10,000 after the {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} came on the flop. Thomas Simsen raised to 30,000 before Guichard jammed his remaining stack of 71,000.

Simsen tanked for about three minutes before he made the fold. Neither player showed their cards as the dealer pushed Guichard a huge pot.
