Thin Value for Kool Shen

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Bruno Lopes, also known as the French rapper Kool Shen, just found some thin value against a Spanish player with the nickname Cesar.

Lopes opened from the hijack to 1,000 before he called a three-bet from Cesar from the button to 3,200.

Lopes check-called a bet of 2,400 after the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs} came on the flop and both players checked after the {2-Clubs} came on the turn.

The {5-Spades} completed the board on the river and Lopes fired out for 4,500. Cesar paused for about 30 seconds before he made the call.

Lopes missed the board but got value anyway as he turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Cesar tossed his hand into the muck.

Ace-Seven Doesn't Get There for Gouhier

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Philippe Gouhier had less than 10,000 left and he got his chips in the middle with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} against Belmehel Dja Daouhadji with {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

Gouhier hit the rail after the {7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} ran out on the board but can still re-enter if he so chooses.

Meanwhile, Daouhadji is among the chip leaders with a stack of around 100,000 in chips.

"Call, Call, Call, and Now You Fold?"

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Luigi Macaluso bet 6,000 into a pot of a bit more with the {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades} on the board and a player registered under the nickname Tely made the call.

Macaluso bet 6,000 again after the {4-Hearts} came on the turn and Tely made the call.

The {q-Spades} completed the board on the river. Tely jammed his remaining stack of 15,000 in chips.

"Why, why, why?" Tely asked immediately after his opponent's bet.

"You call, call, call, and now you fold," Macaluso asked.

The duo continued to banter for a couple of minutes.

"I know you are going to fold," said Macaluso.

"You have ace-king," said Tely.

"If I have ace-king, you win," responded Macaluso. "I see it in your eyes you will fold."

Tely eventually did fold and showed his the table he held {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

"I will show," said Macaluso as he turned over {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a missed draw.

"I knew it," said Tely as he stood up from the table for a moment.

Cruchon Left Short

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

A player opened from middle position to 1,200. Laurent Cruchon called before Antoine Goutard three-bet to 4,700. The original raiser folded and Cruchon called.

Both players checked after the {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} came on the flop. Cruchon led out for 7,200 after the {6-Hearts} came on the turn and Goutard called.

The {a-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Cruchon checked. Goutard bet 10,000, the exact amount his opponent had left in his stack. Cruchon tanked for a couple of minutes before he folded.
