Tantillo Out and Back In

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The cards were already on their backs on the {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop and it was Fausto Tantillo at risk against Stanislaw Geibel.

Fausto Tantillo: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Stanislaw Geibel: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The {8-Diamonds} turn took away an out for Tantillo and the {3-Hearts} river was a blank to let the kicker play. Moments later, Tantillo was back in on a different table thanks to the re-entry option.

Savevski on the Rise

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Ilija Savevski
Ilija Savevski

Ilija Savevski reached the final table of the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event for a six-figure payday and has been involved in the next WSOP-branded flagship tournament at King's once more. His fortune on Day 1a was non-existent since he busted but the Macedonian is now running up a stack on Day 1b.

Savevski just won a large pot by essentially jamming the {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Spades} river against Claudio Daffina. He pushed all his orange T-5,000 chips with little behind while in the big blind. Daffina on the button was in the tank for a while and tapped the table in defeat after some three minutes.

Big Double for Kidas

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Athanasios Kidas
Athanasios Kidas

In a pot of 30,500 to the {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, Athanasios Kidas checked and Cristi Grecu bet 15,500. Kidas then jammed for massive 88,500 and Grecu was deep in the tank before calling it off with a near identical stack.

Athanasios Kidas: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Cristi Grecu: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Neither the {j-Spades} turn nor the {3-Spades} river changed anything and Grecu was left with fumes.

Gulas Jr Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

"Sorry guys," Gaurav Kumar in the cutoff apologised to his opponents as he was deep in the tank. On a completed board of {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, Josef Gulas Jr in the big blind had bet 29,000 into 55,000. That was for essentially half of Kumar's stack and he wound up folding.

Moagi Soars Up Further; Soceanu Busts in Strange Hand

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Cecil Moagi
Cecil Moagi

Three ways to the {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop, Giorgio Soceanu was already at risk and called by Cecil Moagi. The latter had accidentally exposed his cards already only to have them turned over again. Min Sung Lee was the only one still to act and he then called all-in as the shortest stack.

Min Sung Lee: {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Giorgio Soceanu: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Cecil Moagi: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}

The {6-Diamonds} turn and {9-Clubs} river ensured the split pot between Lee and Moagi while the latter also knocked out Soceanu.

Tran Scores a Double

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Ferhat Yildiz was involved in the preflop action and ended up calling the shove by Do Tran for 34,300 total.

Tran flipped over the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and was in excellent shape versus {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. There was almost an upset on the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} board but the aces held.

Yildiz Gets Creative for Two Doubles

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ferhat Yildiz
Ferhat Yildiz

Belgian player "Kelmaison" suddenly boosted his stack to 140,000 after nailing a full house when he caught Ferhat Yildiz bluffing on a busted gutshot. He then got it in against Yildiz with aces versus the mighty deuce-seven when only a seven appeared on the flop. Yildiz turned another seven for the first double.

The all-in or fold style of Yildiz continued on the {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop and "Kelmaison" called once more.

Ferhat Yildiz: {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}
"Kelmaison": {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Yildiz hit the {5-Spades} turn and faded the {7-Clubs} river, causing plenty of laughter from everyone at the table. "Now I want to give it all," the Belgian joked as he had around half the starting stack left.
