Kuehle Cools Down D'Angelo

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

Andrea Ricci was involved in a bigger pot to the {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop as 13,000 were in the middle. Damian Wyss bet 3,300 out of the blinds and Ricci folded.

Shortly after, 24,000 were invested by Olaf Kuehle and Daniele D'Angelo, the former of which was in the small blind. Kuehle check-called 13,000 on the {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades} turn and then bet the {7-Diamonds} river for 18,700. D'Angelo tanked for a minute and called but mucked when Kuehle revealed the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

More Early Eliminations

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

The Day 1b field has surpassed more than 200 entries but the list of early casualties is rather low for the King's Resort, as 199 players out of 207 entries remain. Samuel Grigorian was among those to bust and re-enter while the other players below have not opted to jump back in yet.

Gilboa Chips Up; Hofmann Chips Down

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

Thomas Hofmann has lost another big chunk out of his stack after moving tables when he got involved in the action out of the small blind. Ultimately he checked the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} river and Uri Gilboa checked back. A rather depleted Hofmann tabled the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Gilboa had that beat with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for two pair.

Oeztuerk Doubles Through Karadaglis

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

With around 7,000 in the middle to the {j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} turn, Ercan Oeztuerk from the cutoff was a risk for 30,400. He was looked up by Stylianos Karadaglis and both players turned over two pair.

Ercan Oeztuerk: {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Stylianos Karadaglis: {8-Spades}{4-Spades}

The {7-Hearts} river changed nothing whatsoever and Oeztuerk doubled to remain in contention.

D'Angelo No More

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante

In a previous hand, Daniele D'Angelo lost almost his entire stack as Andrea Ricci doubled. The last few chips then went in preflop with the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Manfred Hammer looked him up with the {q-Spades}{j-Spades}. The {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{k-Clubs} board left D'Angelo drawing dead on the turn and he left the tournament area after wishing everyone good luck.

Navon Doubles Through Donnini

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante
Danilo Donnini
Danilo Donnini

Afik Navon raised for Danilo Donnini to three-bet to 2,100, Navon then four-bet to 7,200 and the Italian called. On the {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop, Navon's bet of 3,600 was called and he then opted to check the {4-Diamonds} turn. Donnini bet 7,800 and called a check-raise to 17,500.

Navon jammed the {2-Clubs} river and Donnini tank-called. The player from Israel celebrated as he rolled over {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the nuts while Donnini's {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} were briefly exposed. Once he saw what cards he was called by, Navon essentially mocked his opponent which Donnini didn't take lightly. After some words in Italian, he added "you won the pot so shut up."
