Another Double for Hegner

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Mahersh Selvakumaran put Gordon Hegner all-in who called it off for the last 159,000.

Gordon Hegner: {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Mahersh Selvakumaran: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Hegner flopped a gutshot on the {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, then asked for a six. Nothing changed on the {5-Clubs} turn but Hegner was delighted when the {9-Diamonds} river secured the next double.

Any Aces About?

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Sharon Sade open-pushed for 583,000 and was looked up by Ronnie Lemmens to create the following showdown.

Sharon Sade: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Ronnie Lemmens: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Sade doubled.

"I folded king-queen, my best hand in ages," bemoaned Pierre Mothes in the big blind. One hand later, Mothes was all-in for 154,000 and Lemmens made the call once more.

Pierre Mothes: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Ronnie Lemmens: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Mothes prevailed thanks to a board of {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to remain in contention.

Alkan Doubles; Then Busts After

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

On the side feature tables, Matteo Baroni was sent to the payout desk while only one further contender ran out of chips in the poker arena.

Volkan Alkan pushed the button with the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and Rama Mulaj got his chips in from the small blind with the {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. The kicker played on the {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board and Alkan doubled.

Mulaj was left very short but the next to fall was Alkan. He opened the button with the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Gert Jan Albers came along with {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} to then turn trips on the {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} board. Alkan left the tournament area with a whispered "shit".

Mulaj Eliminated in Three-Way All-In

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Short stack Rama Mulaj was all-in before the flop and received multiple callers. Karel Novotny then bet the {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop for 68,000 and was called only by Gert Jan Albers in the hijack. Novotny bet once more for 150,000 on the {q-Clubs} turn to receive a call and led another 175,000 on the {5-Diamonds} river.

Albers instantly announced all-in and Novotny snap-called for 375,000 to get shown the {7-Spades}{5-Spades} by Albers. Novotny had that beat with the {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for bottom set and Mulaj hit the rail in 41st place with {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}.
