Two More Levels Played Today

Level 4 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

To prevent the final day from lasting too long, the Tournament director just announced that two more levels will be played tonight. So the end of the day can be expected at approximately 1.45 a.m.

The dinner break will be cut in two, half of the players will have a one-hour dinner break at the end of Level 8, and the other half at the end of Level 9.

McEachern Hits the Rail

Level 5 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

The first bullet was not good for WSOP commentator Lon McEachern. Jonathan Therme told PokerNews that McEachern lost with aces. He hit a set but his opponent found a straight to eliminate the American journalist.

After an early bustout, Michel Leibgorin is back in the field.

The French player opened for 1,100 in middle position and Kenny Deffrasnes called in the small blind. A player in the big blind three-bet to 4,000 and both Leibgorin and Deffrasnes decided to fold.

Tournament director Mickael Millat just confirmed the split dinner break later today.

Gouzil Hits a Set

Level 5 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

The regular French midstakes player Hervé Gouzil just won a nice pot. Second to act, Gouzil opened for 900 and a player in middle position decided to three-bet to 3,800. Gouzil called and the flop revealed {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

Gouzil check-called a 5,000 bet and both players checked the turn {10-Diamonds} and the river {9-Diamonds}.

Gouzil showed {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}, a set found on the turn, enough to crack {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} hold by his opponent.
