AK vs AK Dents Frauke

Kathleen Gliva opens the pot from UTG with {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. Frauke Von Sporschill re-raises from late postion with {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}. Gliva moves in fairly quickly, and Frauke tanks for a good two minutes before calling. Frauke must have been psychic, because when the board came {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades}, Frauke lost about a quarter of her stack, and the chip lead on the hand. Gliva was the early mover, getting to just over 300,000 in chips.

Julie Dang 9th Place

As expected, super short stack Julie Dang was the first to leave us today, and the hand was an interesting one. Dang moved all in from early postion with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}, and Katja re-raised with {a-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. Kathleen Gliva woke up with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} in the Big blind, and had a decision on her hands. After having her head in her hands for about a minute, Gliva laid the hand down. The board came {2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}, and Dang was our 9th place finisher. Julie won $14,628 for her troubles.
