Vinnie Vinh (we think) Eliminated

Rumors were swirling earlier in the week about Vinnie. We're happy to report he spent the last couple hours at table 180, seat 7. We tried a couple times to get his name, but his reply was "Phil Ivey" each time we asked. A player shook his hand upon departure, and said "Good Game Vinnie", at which point he replied "Thanks - good luck everybody"

Phil Gordon Gets it Going

Phil made it 550 to go and was called by a player on the button. The flop came {2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Phil bet 550, and his opponent called. The turn was the {6-Hearts}. Phil fired another 1,050 at it, and once again was flat called. The river was the {9-Clubs}. Phil bet 2,050, and was once again called. Gordon turned over {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}, and his opponent mucked.

The hand put Gordon up to 12,000 in chips.

The Ups and Downs of Eric Froehlich

Eric Froehlich lost almost of his chips when he moved all-in with pocket Nines only to find himself up against pocket Queens. That hit cost him all but 675 of his chips, and a few hands later he pushed those chips into the middle when he was dealt {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. It looked like his timing was bad again, as Barry Greenstein moved in with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and Holger Clausen called that bet with {A-Spades}{K-Spades}.

The {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop gave Clausen trips, Greenstein a flush draw, and Froelich a seeming one-way ticket to the rail. But incredibly the turn and river both brought the diamonds Froehlich needed to make a flush of his own and triple up to 4,750. Claussen won the side pot and that brought his stack to 9,200, and Greenstein was left with just 900.

One Player DQ'ed

A player swept a pot he had won on the last hand before the break. He (apparently) inadvertently swept 1,500 of another players chips into his stack (1,500 was all the other player had – three 500 denomination chips). Security cameras were called into play, and the player was disqualified from the tournament for "inappropriate conduct".

Lee Likes Aces

Lee Watkinson just got dealt his second set of pocket Aces since moving to table four about 20 minutes ago.

in the hand, a player moved in for 1,075. Another player called. Lee moved in from the big blind, isolating the all in player.

Lee {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}, opponent {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

The board comes {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{K-Hearts}, and Lee is up to about 22,000 in chips.
