Kessler Returns from the Dead

Down to 1,650 at one point in the tournament, Allen Kessler has turned things around and is now sitting on 6,500 chips, giving him some extra breathing room.

His most recent push came when he made three sixes against an opponent's two pair (jacks and fours). We'll keep you up-to-date on Kessler's crafty comeback.

David Chiu: Short-Stack Artist

Another player who was practically down to his last couple of chips today is David Chiu. David dropped all the way to 400 chips and has since climbed to 3,600.

The secret to Chiu's success? "I never give up," said David of his impressive mini-comeback.

Simply, WOW!

An amazing hand just took place at Barbara Enright's table and she was at the center of the action.

When the door cards were dealt, Barbara showed the {6-Clubs} and her opponent, the {5-Hearts}. Doesn't seem like much to get excited about, does it? Well, believe it or not, both players were rolled up -- Barbara with sixes and her opponent with fives!

Wait... it gets better. These were both players' upcards by sixth street:

Barbara Enright: {6-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Opponent: {5-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Barbara's opponent picked up a full house on sixth street and took the lead in the hand. To make things even more interesting, on the river, Barbara paired her king for sixes full...

...but her opponent was dealt the case five!

Needless to say, an insane amount of raising and reraising took place throughout the hand and Barbara was left with 3,600 chips when all was said and done.

Phew -- what a hand!

Poetic Justice

Barbara Enright barely had time to recoup from her fiasco with rolled-up sixes before she found herself submerged in two more big hands; this time, however, she came out on top -- in both.

She has since catapulted her stack from 3,600 to almost 8,000 and is right back on track.
