Darden Flops the Nuts

Preflop, Paul Darden's {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} was in slight trouble against his opponent's pocket kings. But Darden felt great about the flop {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Although the board did pair on the turn and on the river, Darden's nut flush was good enough to win the hand.

New Game: NL Hold 'Em

The tournament staff has just announced the game change and we are now on NL Hold 'Em. With several short-stacks in the field, we expect to hear several announcements of "all-in!" over the next half hour.

Miami John Follows Lisandro's Lead

Not even ten minutes after Jeffrey Lisandro hit running quads, "Miami" John Cernuto had A-9 versus Brian Eddy's A-K and was all-in preflop. Eddy flopped a king, but Cernuto hit a nine on the turn, then spiked another on the river. It wasn't as good as Lisandro's quads, but it was good enough to win the hand and double up.
